I also see passionate love for Lord Jesus as something that makes us no longer want to sin against Him, but rather to live in holy obedience unto Him, repenting immediately of any sin we become aware of including those in our thoughts and attitudes and including any unforgiveness against anybody. John the baptist said "i baptize with water but there is one coming after me whose sandals i am not worthy to untie and He will baptize with the Holy Spirit and Fire". The vast majority of christians have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts 2:1-4 and Acts 19:1-6 and this is a necessary encounter with the Living God in truly "dying" (largely) to our flesh and being born again of His Spirit. There is a common misconception throughout the church that this happens immediately every time someone receives Jesus as Savior and Lord, but Acts 19:1-6 clearly refutes this. Once we receive this baptism, the Holy Spirit empowers us and we become passionate for our Lord.
