Re: Potassium

Amy, Don't think I've asked you this before, but are you stationed in Australia or in the USA or Candada? Just wondering about getting supplements sent over here from the States. Will be changing practitioners as I think my insulin issue is still unstable enough to require further investigation, though I'm still hoping this is a phase that will improve.

Interesting...like I said Potassium issue really intrigues me, on my ARL chart, my sodium (6.0)levels are lower than my potassium (4.0) and my ratio is 1.50. Is this similar to yours prior to going on NB supplementation? or SBF?

I'm on a lot of Limcomin (5 a day) and Paramin (6 a day). So wondering if I am losing Potassium with all that magnesium and Zinc. - i do notice that after a period on these high doses I inevitably do get an increase in my appetite and my hypoglycemia issues seem to return.

Also wondering, do you have any issues with thyroid dysfunction? - just asking as SBF has Thymus and Parathyroid glandular in it and wondering if this has an impact also on metabolism. I know when I was on thyroid meds my insulin and heart palps temporarily disappeared - well until my adrenals gave in anyway and then i had worse heart palps! But not sure parathyroid would affect that, but i know it has impact on calcium.

Thanks for your intriguing insight into the Potassium issue. Needs a definite further look investigation by those on the NB program who have heart palps and insulin/glucose issues.
