Re: Potassium
I am fascinated by the whole "potassium" issue been discussed here, as this was was one of my initial queries about not having any supplements that replace my low potassium levels. I have both low sodium and low potassium - always have, even in blood serum tests.
I found that despite being told not to eat bananas - i ate them and felt pretty good on them. I can understand, about not pushing sodium out of your body by adding potassium - think all of NB supplementation is a balancing game anyway. But wouldn't mind trying some potassium, just to see how i feel.
Like you Amy, think the fact that I still get hypoglycemic episodes coming back to haunt me, despite all the sodium and calcium supplements is telling me something is still not right in the world of my body chemistry - despite avoiding all GI foods. I still get heart palpitations after eating and have been wondering, what's missing.
So Amy if you could elaborate as to what you are doing to balance out those missing potassium levels that would be most useful so i can go and investigate. I am sure my NB practitioner will be against it and so will have to go it alone on this one.
