I don't think that 1000 calories of fat every two weeks for the Liver Cleanse is excessive. The USDA recommends a maximum of 30% of daily calories come from fat but most doctors recommend 25%.
For a 170 lb 6ft male age 30 who is moderately active, the daily total consumption of calories should be around 2200 just to maintain weight. 25% of that is 550 calories, so normal caloric intake should consist of 550 calories from fat every day. The Liver Cleanse calls for 1000 calories of fat, or 4 ozs of Cold Pressed Extra-Virgin Olive-Oil at 250 calories per oz, twice per month.
To say people are drinking "butter" or replacing carbs with a high fat diet is beyond exaggeration.
