Re: Any men falsely accused of rape / sexua| abuse?

I am currently living this nightmare of being falsely accused of raping my then wife (now ex-wife). She is friends with the DA out here (TX) and I have been on the railroad path from the word go. The other bad thing is she is an attorney and a former prosecutor. My bond was set at an excessive amount (200K) The normal bond for this offense is 50-75K. They have flown her out here on the county's dime to prevent my bond reduction. I am sickened by these accusations. I face 20 years for a crime I did not commit. Even worse my 6 year old son faces losing his father for 20 years! I currently have a 2 year restraining order set against me from seeing him. She has not taken him around my family at all. I thank God that I have my friends and familys support. They all know that I am not capable of this crime. Her former employers even know that I am getting the railroad job. Talk about not being able to sleep at night!!! This weighs so heavily on my mind. My good name has been torn to pieces. I lost my job even though my employers know that I did not do this. Due to where I had worked I can't return until all of these allegations have been dismissed. ( they did say they would take me back though) If anyone reads this and has resources for me I would greatly appreciate it. I'm on house arrest (even though I have not been indicted yet) so I have to jump through many hoops to try to even just obtain some sort of employment. I paid a lawyer 7500 for a retainer and I am losing faith in him. When I say that i am financially crippled, that is an understatement. If anyone knows of pro-bono attorneys in the West Tx area that will fight for me please send their info my way. I have been free for 5 days and have worked diligently on my case every waking hour.
