I can write about my former sleeping problem, but I can also say that others in this forum and elsewhere benefited A LOT from "Earthing". My insomnia was not as bad as yours but it usually would take me 2 hours in bed before sleeping. Now it takes 20 to 30 minutes. Others had much greater improvements.
