Re: Water question

Well I like how you went thru my points and statements and kept things rational without personal attacks really.
That is proper way to debate.

I am not against fasting. Am here doing water fast. pure Water Fast according to some of you..no. taking some supplements ,was getting bad leg cramps..funny they went away with some potassium pills.

I was getting faint lightheaded not when standing quick read that stuff and always take my time getting up as does wife. This lightheaded weird feeling was just walking around don't not much of anything and wife was also not standing up fast .She was walking around and then she felt faint and did faint hitting head and back on cement. But no apparent lasting effects very lucky.

As said no way your theory,Sheltons or whoevers makes any sense . We both were well into our fast so not likely its 'detox" on day 22 of mine and day 10 or hers. And as said both times we upped fluid intake right away and were fine right away and non incidents or that feeling since.

I have plenty of energy was down energy more at very beginning maybe as body burns up glucogen and switches to ketone/fat burning thing. But also likely from dehyrdration .You quit taking in any salt or carbs. You lose like 5 to 10 pounds of weight in first few days and most of that is water. Of course you would get dehydrated.

You can say what you want my weakness was gone pretty much as soon as starting drinking 8 to 10 a day. My dizzyness lightheadedness was gone as soon as made sure was drinking 8 to 10 a day. Wifes too same day.
I think Shelton or whoever is wrong on this drink when thirsty idea and it dont' take much to get dehydrated and the symptoms match exactly. And detox is unproven by any scientific method is a belief not fact.

I am not saying it dont exist either just saying it might explain a bit about if you feel terrible or whaetver during the fast for awhile personally have only felt really good on the fast other than that low energy at very beginning and when cut back on fluids and the lightheadness when walking around also when cut down on fluids trying to follow you guys and Sheltons advice.

I had cramps and took potassium . Cramps in muscles can cause heart failure. Not saying everyone needs them but I did. Not sure why . I take multi vitamin pretty much daily too. Does it hurt detox dont' really know or care.

I take green tea it also really helps with energy on the fast and supposed to increase metabolism and speed up weigt loss one of my primary reasons for fasting. health issues mostly from overweight are the other main one. No spiritual fast ,no fasting cause God told me too. Just fasting for better health and weight loss so yeah mostly should be in the weight loss forum and am.

Where we argue mostly is you have these strict ideas that Water Fast is pure water nothing else,no supplements,no green tea, water only. But to me thats just a variation of it not a modified water/juice or food fast.

I am taking in zero calories. Only drinking water. And lot of fasting experts say multi can't hurt that green tea is helpful that you might need some vitamin and mineral supplementation sometimes. especially on longer fasts.
Most people here are on unsupervised fasts. They have only you guys mostly to go to for advice. I trusted you guys, let my water intake get real low and got all the symtoms right away of classic dehryrations.I rehyrated and they pretty much instantly went away and ditto on wife. I cut out multis and got potassium defficiency cramps that could have been very serious if heart muscle cramps its called a heart attack. I cut out green tea as you guys said it was bad and then my energy took dive and it made it harder to get thru the day. Some of us have to actually go out and about and do things on our fasts especially a long fast.
So tried it your way or Sheltons way or Fuhrmans or whatever and decided that my way was better at least for me.

You guys are free to do whatever you want. Dry fast for month, maybe die from potassium deficit, pass out from dehyrdation and understand the difference from the low blood pressure thing from sitting or lying to standing.I dont' seem to have that much at all .

I won't be posting that much on this part of the forum will post occasionally and will still give my views.
If mods want to kick me off thats there choice. I will mostly be on weight loss forum. But when see newbies getting told to drink when thirsty only and they are complaining about weakness or other dehydration symptoms still likely to give my personal opinion and actual solutions. And not too worried about what fasting experts said on the matter.

That said I dont believe fasting is bad for a person. But dont' think people with 9% bodyfat especially women have any busineaa doning fasts much longer than 14 or maybe 20 days. That is already danger low for women and their bodyfat.Of course its up to individuals to decide what they want to do>its there risk and their life.
