Re: Water question

Hmm think this is what Shelton wrote on the subject..

http://chestofbooks.com/health/natural-cure/The-Hygienic-System-Fasting-and-S...

Obviously he had a lot of experience with fasting people. He also mentions other fasting experts that adviced drinking more.
He does say that fasting is much quicker for weight loss up to like 3 pounds a day with less water drank but not sure if this is fat loss or simply just mostly more water being taken from the bodies reserves. If its simply water being removed its useless as this will come back after fast and its pretty much against simple physics to think that the body can lose 3 pounds of fat a day ,half to maybe pound or so a day seems much more realistic just from taking calories into account. 3500 is supposed to be pound of fat lost. Person that is maybe 300 pounds might burn 3000 just sitting there. Fast them on zero from water and would expect around a pound a day if they were moving around a bit, maybe doing some exercise. But can't see how cutting down water can make them burn 10,000 a day. Just don't make any sense at all.

My weight loss drinking 8 to 10 is around pound a day currently. And as said since have gout have gotten bad attacks when cut back my water.

Supposed Shelton is saying people have gone like 15 to 20 days with no water. I also thought death happened much sooner with no water. And the symptoms of dehydration are well documented fact one is short term memory and mine seemed to be not great when cut down on my water consumption and as said felt lightheaded and wife fainted when she cut down hers to near zero. So you have Shelton on the one hand arguing to drink when thirst and not bother if you are not thirsty. Says better for weight loss too. And you have lots of other people saying that 8 or more is good for you. Hard to know what to believe sometimes. And using animals like desert rats don't think that is too comparable to human biology.

But hey guess do what you feel is right. I know I am confused!! And mabye mad that could be dry fasting and getting 3 pounds of day lost. Just wish could be sure it was fat lost not water. Seems to me if you drink sufficient water weight lost is fat and from way my stomach has shrunk last 23 days I know I am losing fat.
I put on 36 pants today and while a bit tight they fit. And was wearing 40s at beginning and these were same brand stretch jeans. Fat is burning off.

Also I dare most people to do no water or minimal and no food and try to do any physical work at all. What he said about guy running or whatever seems highly improbable. Most people Water Fasting are weak as kittens for at least several days some much longer. I just went on my treadmill for half hour at 2.8mph or so for 30 minutes. But I have drank 6 glasses of water today. My energy seems fine. No lightheadedness. Is the drinking of more water and maybe no dehydration related to amount of water drank?Well just go look up symptoms of dehydation. Remember Shelton is not God. Like everyone else he has his theories and opinions.

Wife feels much better though after more juice and water. No more dizzyness since.
