Re: Is there a support group for young people getting dentures?

Hi I am a 37 yr old male, and just recently got dentures. It all happened so fast. I was in the chair for an appraisal, next thing i knew, they pulled all my teeth and I had dentures.
I have had dental problems all my life, but luckily Ive had great friends as well, who never made me feel bad about my teeth. Strangers were a different story.
I am only on my third day with them now, but just last night i smiled and said hi to a very cute young lady, who flashed her pearly whites back at me with a hello as well. I'm still learning how to talk again, so i didn't persue it further, but it was a great start. Thats the first time i have flirted with a stranger of the opposite sex in a long time.
This is going to be a life changer for all who go through this, and I am sure it is going to be super rewarding. I too hid my smile for years, not anymore. It takes time to get used to it, but we will. We are not alone.
Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I am just getting started on this road, but am looking forward to every step.
