Re: People HAVE come forward

First time I flew into LAX in the mid 80s, there was a collective gasp as the plane crested the San Bernardino mountains and started the descent. People thought we were still over mountains when actually, it was a carpet of smog. One felt you could step out on the wing and just walk to the ocean.

It was appalling.

Brings me to my question. LA has this legacy of being totally horrible for pollution. Air traffic, automobile traffic. industry.

Do you feel planes are purposely spraying the LA area? And do you think they are causing this mess by themselves? And, do you think there are other contributing factors like, autos, and manufacturing, and the absolutely messed up weather and bowl that traps all this stuff?

Or is this mess strictly, air traffic? And a repeat I know, but do you feel these planes are spraying on purpose, and to produce, what?

Looking forward to some ideas...
