The internet has created an epidemic of one person stating something regardless of whether it is fact or not, and the next 10 people quote it is true.

It is too tiresome to cite. But recent history is replete with this stuff. Not saying that this particular congressman is guilty of this, and I agree Spuds, I would be highly reticent about hanging my hat on 'politician as source material'. This particular congressman is held in a bit more regard in some circles.

Still, I'm with you... way too easy to cite sources that may be credible, or may be taut with speculation.

By the way, I did follow through on much of the source material that was posted for us to review. Some of it is compelling for sure. Most of it, 'see above'.

I will review the rest of it, and I appreciate IC for following through with this. Citations are sorely lacking in discussion like this. Tweet
