I always cook them and salt them to remove or neutralise the oxalic acid content, as much as I can. I do eat lean red meet as well, being a vegetarian is not an option for me. I love nettles and flat leaf parsley as well and these are great foods to add to a high iron diet. I don't like BSM because of the Sugar content.
