Re: Codex Alimentarius and Havagerthi

Your right. Justin is overlooking a few important facts like the fact that you will get other minerals from diet and supplements. Also the body does do a good job of keeping itself in balance in the majority of cases. This applies to minerals as well as pH. For example, if the body has too much sodium it eliminates the excess sodium. If sodium is low it retains the sodium it has. The same for potassium. If too much phosphorus is present the body will release calcium from the bones to balance it out and increase phosphorus elimination.

If the body starts to become to acidic then it will buffer that acid or otherwise reduce it, such as though increased repiration or excretion through the urine.

Problems can occur when we try to force the issue, just like pharmaceutical companies do. When a woman goes through menopause for example the drug companies want to force the hormones in to a certain direction and the hormonal system goes all over the place trying to get back to a proper balance. In the meantime they suffer all sorts of side effects from thyroid problems to cancer. Trying to force the pH is no different than pharmaceutical thinking, and it also poses health risks. Reduction of stomach acid will lead to a whole host of health issues as has been pointed out numerous times. And putting the body in to hyperalkaline state (alkalosis) presents its own risks. Then there is the danger of sodium overload in some cases. There are some people that need to be on a sodium restrictive diet. The same applies to potassium. So is Moreless or Justin going to take responsibility when they kill or injure someone with their dangerous advice?
