Since you don't understand this simple concept Justin, let me simplify it for you even more. The body balances its own pH very well in nearly ever case. Acidosis, and the equally as dangerous alkalosis are very rare! The reason? Because the body has to be in a VERY NARROW pH range. So it has many redundant systems to maintain this narrow pH. Drinking alkaline waters, calcium lime, or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) forces the pH way in to the alkaline side, which again can be dangerous. Even if it does not shove the pH in a real dangerous alkaline state it still forces the body to work harder as it has to try to bring the pH back to a normal range.
