Re: The Candida is Killed by Alkalinity Myth

I see what you are saying but there is a whole lot more too it. We need oxygen, but we also need acids. There are a large number of acids that help us survive and even play a role in the generation of energy for the body. There is amino acids, fatty acids, malic acid, citric acid , pyruvic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, glucoronic acid, hyaluronic acid, carbonic acid.........

The fact is that too much acid can be dangerous, too much oxygen can be dangerous, becoming too alkaline can be dangerous, even deadly. This is why our bodies have so many redundant systems to help keep our bodies in the narrow pH range it requires.

Furthermore, according to what you are stating we should not exercise because that could put us in to an anaerobic state utilizing oxygen that can be used elsewhere. So is avoiding exercise a good idea? Of course not.

Would hyperventilating make us healthier because it gets more oxygen in to our bodies? Of course not. Hyperventilating will cause you to pass out because it removes too much carbonic acid from the blood. If you are lucky you will not stroke from it, or smack your head on something hard on the way down.
