well my initial response was to LD Di's comment about Your avatar.
As You said that You did not choose it, I agree it was a wrong assumption.

Abou Your suggestion with the pregnant "girl".
I really believe this is equal to what politicians do all day to fool the people.
Painting the picture of a poor helpless girl (not a woman?).
Who wants to turn his back on her, right?

But laws, also abortion laws, need to be made according to moral standards and ethics.
Not according to personal cases and emotions.

The number of abortions is going to rise, because it is treated like a normality.
Like an option.
Like "coffe or tea?" - "abortion or birth?"

How did the girl get pregnant in the first place?
Why is pregnancy seen as a curse?
Why did the parents and the parents of the father fail to educate the two?

If abortion is used as a tool for population control, it really should draw some attention.
This sounds like the euthanasia program of the nazis.
