The term Christ consciousness may not be a term you would use, but it is used by many seeking heaven on earth right now.

refreshed says: Yes and no. I agree we are to have an intimate relationship with God the Father/Son/Holy Spirit. But before Jesus was ever sacrificed for our sins, people long ago were still able to have somewhat of a relationship with Him, they just had trouble with the build up of sin in their lives. So the sacrifice of animals was needed.

As Christians, we may sin and it shows as a dirty spot (figuratively speaking)in us as we are in the process of sinning, but the blood of Jesus cleanses all sin and the dirty spot is gone when we turn from it. We may lose some of our fellowship with Him when we live in sin but we do not lose our salvation. Asking for forgiveness, making better choices, loving Him and our neighbor as ourself is how we become more filled with the Holy Spirit. We are to always flee from sin to grow closer to our God and Savior, but living in the sins of the flesh and disregarding God in the matter is not being a Christian.

As to your question about Deity of Christ. Your beliefs are as you say.

Some people are of the belief that He is in our hearts only and will not manifest in flesh and blood once again. But because the bible says He will come again, to me this makes a difference in how we are to look at our lives and the decisions we are to make for the future. I'm not saying we are to do nothing and just wait for Christ to return.

Knowing He is coming one day allows us to know that we are to endure and make godly decisions in all that we do so it will bring honor and glory to Him. For if He is not ever coming back then the only way for people on this earth to come together is for each person to open their hearts to the Holy Spirit and for evil to be banished forever. Then you may have a heaven on earth. Do you think that is going to happen? The bible says no, that will not happen and by the looks of things, I believe it.

God puts governments in place and the USA still has the blessing of having say with our votes and with our actions. As long as we have say, we should use it correctly by making laws that would mirror God's commandments. If Love is the commandment one lives by, then that should also reflect in one's voting and decision making in government.

As ML has said, worrying is the devil's prayer and if we worry about always being one step ahead of the government instead of making the decisions that reflect what we envision our government to be, then that negative thinking will curse us and be the downfall that becomes our stain...our sin.
