it is not inconsistent, if You apply ML's definition of a liberal.

And, yes I know, we are all so above these tight definitions.
Just, why am I constantly being called a rebublican or a racist, just because I am not on the band wagon of the big O? (O = letter or number?, it's in the eyes of the beholder)
