I just have to pipe in here. I am the newbie but am not new to this awful condition. Unfortunately, I was a veteran on the frontlines of Candida. Two things you mention that I want to point out, or, more accurately, two BIG mistakes I made. One was not sticking the protocal my Allopathic/Medical Dr. gave me. I think we're so used to comforting ourselves with food, it becomes difficult to deny yourself constantly when your body is crying out for comfort! Secondly, I think we (as a society) are so conditioned to believing that, if we take a pill, or pills, we will be cured within a week or so. And, there is a third component as well, and that is, that we doubt ourselves when we are not completely well within a certain period of time. I know I would have been fully well YEARS ago had I stayed the course, taken all prescribed supplements and done exactly what my doctor told me to do. But I didn't!! I questioned the process because it wasn't "curing" me, I stubbornly insisted on hiking and biking, not alot mind you, but my doctor insisted I stay in bed. My only coping mechanism was to get up and at 'em. I'm an Irish girl for crying out loud! We don't DO staying in bed all day!! :) I say all of this, because I want you and any others who are going through the initial stages of this healing process to learn from my mistakes. Don't be stubborn. Stay on your supplement plan and diet. It could take months, but, eventually you will heal. If you keep cheating and going off the diet and supplements in the initial stages, well, you will making things much worse for yourself and greatly prolonging the process. I was REALLY sick, like the woman who was on death's door. Didn't have a movement for almost a week and had to use all number of products just to go. I know those dark, dark days. But, what I didn't know was that, if I stayed with my protocal, I would've gotten better. So, please, don't do what I did!!!! GET WELL all the way, the first time and get your life back. I'm better now, but GOD, do I wish I did it differently!!!!
