Re: Water Fast And Physical Work, Please Help!

I'm not sure if you wrote correctly when you said "elimination of the toxins you accumilate while fasting" because you certainly do not accumulate anything while fasting, and the whole point of it is to eliminate them. These toxins on the way out of the body can cause all sorts of symptoms, some of which can become worse or turn to illness if you break a fast too early. Death is very unlikely from this though, the main danger in refeeding is refeeding too much or the wrong foods which can overtax your digestion system which has been 'dormant' and needs time to reawaken. It just needs clean fuel to be run in again and then all will be well or most likely better than before.

It's hard to drink too little. I've gone seven days without water at all and no ill effects. But you can drink too much, so just drink according to your thirst and you'll be fine.

If you can do a long term fast the longer you go the better, plain and simple. If you can fast to completion, to the complete end of your stores and full cleanout of the body that would be the ultimate. Otherwise whatever you can manage will be good for your body.

You are not used to having an empty stomach or intestines, it is bound to feel different in there for a while. The girgling noises most people associate with hunger though is water moving through the intestines and will probably cease altogether soon.

Andrew.
