Yes! You shouldn't take any ALA whatsoever (unless you are using it as a chelator). Even 1 gram is significant.

ALA will chelate, and you will get redistribution. If you are not doing this on a 3-hour Cutler schedule you can cause problems.

The Emergen-C could easily be making you feel worse - my advice is to quit taking it ASAP and get hold of another source of vitamin C.
