Hi, may I ask you what other drugs you've taken? I just finished the 10 day nitazoxanide/furazolidone/secnidazole cocktail two days ago and your post really scared me. While taking the cocktail I was constipated after the second day Fleet Phospho soda bowel prep. I've had this nasty sour taste in my mouth that I've had intermittently in the past. My stools have been OK since coming off the meds although my last one was a bit worrying. It wasn't diarrhea but was kind of fuzzy and I'm worried about a return of symptoms. this may be because I started taking probiotics and had a small bit of rice on the first day after I stopped the meds. I've had this a little over a year and I've lost a lot of weight and it's put an end to my athletic pursuits. Like you, I have pretty much lived on chicken and non-starchy vegetables (it helps that I'm near a lot of good farms). Also, like you, I'm in the US.
