I am 24 years old. Female and Ive never been pregnant. Yet I have stretch marks every where!!!!!!!!!!! all over my chest, all over my stomach, pubic area, inner thighs, butt, upper arms and on my back! I can't take it any more! Please someone help me. I am 5'4 135lbs. I use to be 180 lbs and i am sure that was the cause of my stretch marks. I wake up thinking about my ugly body and go to sleep thinking about it. I am sooo unhappy. I feel that i constantly have to keep my body covered. This is unfair to me when I just want to wear a tank top or shorts. Bleck, i feel sooo gross. Please, what the heck can I do???????

I developed stretch marks while going through a growth spurt when I was about twelve or thirteen.I developed stretch marks on my calves, my buttocks, and the back of my leg.During my pregnancy, I developed even more stretch marks. Now I have them on my breasts, my stomach, waist, upper thighs. Not to mention I got even worse stretch marks on my butt and the backs of my legs. I'm twenty five going on twenty six so I've spent the best portion of my twenties not wearing shorts,dresses, bathing suits and not being very comfortable during the hot summer months. It's even more depressing that everywhere I look, I see women with perfect skin. It's inescapable! On TV, online, in magazines and when I go outside!
  Fortunately, I've been able to reduce my stretch marks significantly. There are even parts of my c-section scar that have almost completely disappeared. I'm actually quite convinced that I could almost completely erase my stretch marks. The problem? I simply can no longer afford to buy the treatment. TriLastin SR is an excellent cream. At least, for me it is. I have read that some women haven't seen any results with it, but I swear by it. Once I have some money, I'm going to order myself a few tubes of TriLastin and also a derma roller. I know that using derma rollers can help increase abosrbtion by 200% I think...so if I can increase the absorbtion of TriLastin, then I think I can have quicker and better results. I realize that it would take me about a year or even a bit over a year to erase my stretch marks with TriLastin, but I'd put in the time because it hasn't disappointed me so far. If you can afford it then I highly recommend you try one tube and see how that goes for you.

  However, it is not impossible to get rid of them, the only thing you need is a little patience and consistency in your treatment. There are high quality creams that can help you in a period of a month or two, but you must use them regularly, not expect that they will fade away after one treatment.

  What you said about your stretch marks just totally echoed what I hear in my head all the time. I have the same exact thing going on, even how I got them. I use to weigh 200 lbs. in highschool, then focused on losing the weight and now I'm 125 lbs. They are ALL over my body. My upper arms, legs (everywhere on my legs!) my back, my boobs (which also got small when I lost the weight, so along with being small, they also have stretch marks lol!) Needless to say, they cover my body like a road map. I'm 23 years old and have dealt with it since 17 when I lost the weight. I tried creams, lotions, vitamins, whatever you could think of. They're still there lol. It's really difficult and I still need help with my self-esteem, but instead of focusing on how to get rid of them... maybe instead, we who have the stretch marks just have to accept it. If we can't accept ourselves, how can we expect other people to? I have trouble wearing tank tops/low-cut shirts/bathing suits, which really gets in the way of having fun. But facing that fear is what will make you conquer it and not let it control you or hold you back from anything. Stretch marks are superficial. Like I've explained, I do STILL have my own anxieties about my stretch marks. However, I make myself put comfortable clothing on during summer, wear swim suits (use shorts or something) ANYTHING that won't make you miss out on other things... rather than being hung up on yourself because of them. Think of it this way... when your an old lady, looking back on the past... I guarantee to all of us with low self esteem because of stretch marks, we will be wishing so badly to look that good again. But you will be too old to do anything about that past mistake. So! All we can do is make the best of it. Don't focus on the stretch marks, focus on ourselves/yourself in whatever makes you feel happy in doing. Take care.

I also posted this in the juice fasting forum but thought I'd try here also.
Has anyone experienced any healing or at least fading of scars on an extended fast? Since "During fasting, the body's healing process is at optimum efficiency. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells." I couldn't help but think that scarring must also be affected in some way.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

  I found Water Fasting diminshed a number of my scars. I had a few hot plate/oven burns on the hands where one scar is completely gone and the other has faded significantly.
  
  I had a several surgical scars that were keloid like and raised. They are now flattened and the sutures marks look like mini tatoos. They are faded as well.
  
  I had some Acne marks that completely disappeared. Roscea, which presents as a ruddiness to the complexion completely disappeared during the first fast and toward the end of the second fast. It is much better than it has been even under the treatment of a dermatologist and avoidance of triggers.
  
  Lastly, had a tear in my median thigh from playing as a child climbing a barb wire fence to visit a neighbor. It left a horrible long jagged scar that was quite thick as well. There is only about a 2 inch or less area that is visible that is still slightly red. But amazingly that ugly thing is finally nearly gone after two decades.
  
  I am not sure how a juice fast would work, but give your body whole healthy raw food or fresh juices ( not the stuff on the shelves) and the body will repair itself. Same is true with fasting as long as it is a pure fast ( no diet sodas, pills, mints etc, sugarless gum).

  The body does renew the skin during an extended fast. The skin is an important part of the elimination system. I had stretch marks from my obesity before fasting last year and expected more stretch marks from losing the weight so quickly with fasting. The opposite happened in fact, my stretch marks all but disappeared- you just can't see them unless you are really looking for them and moving the skin around a bit. My other scars have not healed completely, but have all faded to some degree. Fasting is definitely good for the skin.

Do Stretch Marks Creams really work? With over 90,000 searches a month in google alone for the term “stretch marks creams” We think that this question deserves to be answered. Are people just wasting their money or can these creams actually prevent and get rid of stretch marks? now a days there are many creams available that claim they can reduce the appearance of stretch marks and even make them dissapear. These creams also claim that they can even prevent stretch marks from ever appearing. What we need to ask ourselves is, is there any scientific/medical evidence to support these claims or are we just being sold snake oil? The way stretch marks creams work is they add ingredients known to promote collagen and elasticity and healthy skin such as grapefruit seed extract, squalene oil, vitamin E and Vitamin D3. (There are other ingredients, but these seem to be the main ones). Stretch marks creams manufacturers claim that with the above ingredients, their cream can prevent and even make stretch marks dissapear. While there is no current medical proof to support their claims, it should be noted that there are thousands of people who have tried and tested these creams and claim it worked for them. A study done in Germany showed that only one-third of women who masseged cream did not develop stretch marks, while two-thirds that did not use cream did develop stretch marks. Although this hardly seems like conclusive evidence either way, atleast it’s a start in the right direction. More studys and research is ofcourse needed.   Good thing that you are fasting. Please follow some of the rules of fasting and you will do fine, rest, stay warm and drink warm water.
  
  Take one day at a time. 40 day fasting is a huge goal, especially when you do not have much experience with it. First few days are the hardest, stick to it and it will get easier. Make sure you do not even chew gum, you want to stay in Ketosis and let your body feed on fat and scar tissue and other junk that is stored for years.
  
  Fasting should not be used only for weight loss. There are other means of losing weight. After the fast one thing will help you lose weight is to stay on raw plant based foods, no junk and processed foods, no sugars of any kind, no breads, pasta etc.
  
  Also walk 20 minutes a day for good circulation.
  
  After refeeding for a month on plant based foods, do a colon cleanse, kidney cleanse and then liver flush. You will feel new, focused and strong.

      Actually taking any partial foods is more dangerous. When you fast with water only our body cleans and heals. If you put anything in your mouth the digestive system gets activated. Digestive system uses the most energy. If you took partial foods like vitamins or salt water, your body will be out of Ketosis and also it will rob your nutrient reserves to balance the partial foods you ate.
      
      Brushing your teeth with anything but water will trigger the same response as food coming in for digestion.
      
      I have Keytone strips too, they are useful for first week in to the fast, after that you know you are in Ketosis if you are drinking only water.
