  Flaxseed oil has ruined my life after I applied it topically on the face, can anyone help me??

  I ordered "Waihi Bush: Flaxseed oil (original)" off the internet to try on my eczema as an alternative to the stelroid ointments I use, so I started taking it orally 1 to 2 tablespoons a day for a couple of days.. But then i tried it directly on my skin with the thinking that because it is very good for the skin when you drink it it must be good for the skin when applied topically.. Oh how I was so wrong.. I put it on my face before going to sleep and woke up next morning looking completely horrid; I had red arcs under both my eyes and they had a starring appearance to them. What the oil had done is made the skin around my eyes so tight and thin that I struggled to close them.
  
  But it gets worse, a week after applying it to my skin my eyes started to hurt when looking around and the only way to make it less painful was to shut them and as I started to feel pressure building up around my eyes I went to see the doctors about 3 days after i first started getting it at which point was bordering close to unbearable and he prescribed me "eye drops eye lubricant" which I used as soon as I got home and made the pain subside after about 2 days. 3 to 4 weeks later I begun getting these wierd pressure headaches (I don't know how to describe it properly because it does not hurt but it drive me nuts) which gradually got worse over a 7 month period which has just started settling down now and what I think the cause is, is the flaxseed oil has made its way into my facial cavities around the eyes and behind the nose (sinuses and what have you) and caused them to close up and create chronic blockage. On top of all this my eyes protrude outwards and now when I sleep every night my eyes don't close properly, and to completely close it I have to try forcefully (think squinting).
  
  As a result every morning I wake up with reddish eyes which are very dry and my facial appearance has continually changed over the past 10 months and not in a good way.
  
  So right now as of the time of writing this 10 months since applying it to my face, this is what the flaxseed oil has done to me: the skin around my eyes has become extremely thin and hollow out (the flaxseed oil has had a tightening shrinking effect on the skin) the skin around my eyes and part of my cheek has lost most of its sensitivity to touch and now sag a bit, my eyes now protrude outwards, I get pressure headaches randomly in varying degress, I get dry eyes and a headache every morning I wake up all, these have caused me to look hideously ugly..
  
  At the moment I have tried everything I can think of to try improve my appearance and restore my skin around my eyes back to their normal state (firmer, more volume and has feeling when you touch it) so this is what I have tried:
  
  *eating really healthy eg. fruits (apples, oranges, tomatoes, avacados, lemons etc.), vegetables (cabages, lettice, bok choy, spinach, potatoes, pumpkin etc.), fish like salmon, olive oil, eggs, so far I havent found any improvement eating these types of foods so I also tried eating just fatty foods like deep fried chips atc. on a regular basis but also have found little to no improvement..
  
  *exercise like jogging for 30mins or walking for 1 hour 2 to 3 times a week
  
  *using moisturing lotion with vitaman E and elastin actually made my skin more worse..
  
  So far I havent seen any improvement to my skins texture it is still tight and soft.. (it has a rubbery texture), can someone help me? is there something im missing that I could do? I'm at the conclusion that the flaxseed oil has permanently altered my skin and it will remain like this for the rest of my life. this experience has ruined my life in that I have terrible social anxiety and do not leave the house much if at all some days. So my message to others who may be considering using flaxseed oil topically on their face is DO NOT! it is not worth the risk, unless you know what you are doing and know EXACTLY what it will do to you.

    Hi. How are u doing so far? I don't know if what you are experiencing is a topical steroid withdrawal since you mentioned about your skin got worse since you stopped the topical steroid and opted for natural remedies. Maybe flax seed oil doesn't work for you. As for me i am on my topical steroid withdrawal journey i had horrible weepy nummular eczema patches on my lower legs and they healed currently about 90%. Now i still have stubborn eczema patches on my hands and still going through rebound flare ups. I notice its getting bad when im out of supplements (evening primrose oil, fish oil, olive juice extract) so i've to rush to the pharmacy tomorrow. My body needs extra of these to recover.. I'm just sharing this to let you see maybe you are going thru the same thing. Take care

    *Raw garlic is a great herb that fights aging (a couple cloves a week)

    I understand how you feel, that's why I really wanted to reply on your message...
    Last year something similar happened to me (and my look is very important to me), however, I made a mess with my skin because I wanted it to be perfect. Stupid girl.
    It's one year ago.. what I learned since then wanna share with you. Btw. my English's not the best, Bosnian is my native...so I hope everything will be clearly understandable.
    It is important to stay relaxed and calm...doing yoga, meditations, whatever you like. You know why? It is about bioenergy... you can cure everything, really anything by your own energy. Sounds crazy but it works, slowly, you need to be patient. Bot overdriving with anything, no pushing... try not thinking too much about your problem...doing a lot of other stuff in life, occupate yourself with that, dont look at the mirror all the time, waiting... No pushing.
    Ah yeah, learning a new language will be great. When you forget your problem it will get better and better, believe me.
    About exercises, you should try the five tibetan rites, they're great...breath properly, not just during the exercises, but all the time. Think about it.
    Drink a lot of water. Don't overextend it. Stay moderate with everything. Eating a lot of veggies and fruits is great, it will help. Import them in your daily routine..eat also nuts daily, not too much...but you need unsaturated fats. Read, smile, dance, shine from the inside, and believe me it will get better and better. If you feel unsatisfied with yourself, others will notice somethings wrong, but if you're pleased with yourself, nobody will notice anything. Its not just a saying, I tested it. A healthy attitude, head up, and people see you differently. About your skin... I incorporated a weekly facial mask in m routine...I'm using green clay. It helps, slowly, but it does, thats the most important thing. Im trying not using too much not trying to fast it up, thats the most important thing. Now, i dont want to suggest using clay mask... We're all different, I dont know if youre allergic to something, so you could test is on a small past of the skin. I thin honey is the best to go if youre not allergic. Bu it has to be raw REAL honey (important!) with enzymes, this one should be able to crystalize. Again always good to try it on a small area.. Honey isnt kept for too long on the face usually, mostly about 20 minutes, and not in a too thick layer...diluted with water (not warm).
    Find your natural remedy for your face thats not aggressive at all, follow it weekly or as the instructions say... Around the eyes its the best not using too much, just a light cream, in small amounts.
    Drink lemon-water, eat oranges...they stimulate collagen production, avoid refined sugar...
    But the most important, be happy, laugh(watch some funny sitcoms like The big bang theory :D), keep working/doing/being active and keep the positive energy, it's actually all you need to heal yourself, wether you are following a diet or not.
    I tried to be precise...so I really hope it will help. It helped me you must know, and I had as well other health problems...I'm still progressing, nothing will change over night...

    I really feel for you because I too have tried to repair my facial skin because of cortisone damage and had a lot of problems trying things
    That only my made it worse .
    But At last I have found something that really does help build the skin again... From being thinned sunken and badly damaged.
    
    I don't know in what country you live but I live in Australia And we have a TV channel called the TVSN channel. They sell this wonderful collection of serums Which do really build up your collegeni and plump the skin out.
    The best one they sell is called 'collagen 8 .'It doesn't actually have collegen and in it but it repairs your Collagen very well. I wouldn't do without it. You can actually get it on eBay as well for about $110 at the best price. Tvsn are online as well ... Just search for it on google
    
    Specialists have also told me to use high potency vitamin C Serums which really do help And also vitamin A serums . I'm sure these things will help you. ... As they have helped me . God Bless :-)

    How long were you using steroid creams ? Did you stop using the steroid creams around the same time you started using the flaxseed oil? You think that the flaxseed oil "made its way into my facial cavities around the eyes and behind the nose"
    Your skin is your largest organ. It does absorb the things you apply to it. It did absorb the flaxseed. But also the steroid cream!
    Did you know that steroids can cause thinning skin? This is a common side effect! The steroids calm inflammation by working against your immune system. When you stop applying to steroid your skin ( and your body) go through withdrawal.
    You skin and your body need time to readjust to life without the steroids.
    The steroids are probably to blame for your sinus issues.
    You say you went to a doctor about this issue . I can believe that a doctor would not tell you this. There is NO WAY FLAXSEED OIL messed up your skin and sinuses for 10 months. Steroids on the other hand, can affect you for much longer. They only work as long as you use them and when you stop using them there is a "rebound effect" as doctors call it. Your problem gets worse after quitting the steroid. Whether the steroid is oral, inhaled or topical.
    
    I had eczema my whole life. It got really bad at one point in my teens. About 5 years ago i found out i had celiacs disease. I knew i was allergic to wheat as a child and avoided it until becoming a teenager. I thought it was ok to eat wheat so i ate whatever i wanted- thats when my eczema got really bad.
    
    When i went gluten free 5 years ago my eczema disappeared. I dont even use lotion anymore and my skin is not dry.
    I used steroid creams for a short time as a teen and they didnt work for me.
    The eczema was caused by my immune system reacting to an allergen. Gluten. Which i was constantly putting in my body. All the steroids and the creams i applied were only a band-aid for a deeper issue.
    
    Eczema and Psoriasis are a warning sign, your body telling you something isnt right. When you take (or apply) a steroid you are telling your immune system to shut up!
    
    I would suggest looking into a food allergy to get to the bottom of your issue.
    Steroids are nasty i hope you have learned your lesson. But it seems you want to blame a natural food product for your problem.
    
    In the past it has taken my body up to 2 years to get back to normal after stopping a steroid.

    Are you familiar with Topical Steroid Addiction (Steroid induced Eczema) also Red Skin Syndrome. There are thousands of us with similar symptons as you. please visit (International Topical Steroid Addiction Network)This is an org address as its a charity. It only takes 2 weeks for the skin to become addicted to steroids. The only way to recover is to go cold turkey and recovery time is months to years but the results are amazing and Eczema will be almost gone. I'm 91 days into withdrawal, after 20 years plus of steroid use. its hard but i'm seeing big improvements.

  My theory on seborrheic dermatits(BTW i am no doc so likely to be incorrect)
  
  If Malassezia, which doctors believe is the yeast that causes seb derm on the skin, occurs naturally on many animals and humans, why do only relatively few people have Seborrheic Dermatitis ? In my opinion, there are two reasons: an overgrowth of yeast(namely malassezia) in the gut, and genetics. The next question we come across is: why would an overgrowth of yeast in the gut cause a inflammatory reaction on the skin? Well, the answer to that is that inflammation is a reaction of the immune system. It works like this: When there is a yeast overgrowth in the gut(intestines, leading to leaky gut) then the immune system tries to seek out and destroy the yeast to reduce its numbers. When this happens, the immune system sends out antibodies and killer t cells(don't know correct terminology of the immune system) to seek out other areas of the body and attack the SAME yeast that is infecting the gut. So it finds Malassezia, which is found naturally on the skin especially in the seborrheic rich areas and causing no problems, but the immune system attacks it anyway. How does the immune system attack the yeast? Through inflammation. Bingo - burning, sensitive skin, erythema and flaking.
  
  That would explain why anti-dandruff shampoos,anti fungals topical , seem to have a positive effect on Seborrheic Dermatitis when applied topically to the skin. It reduces the malassezia, which calms the immune system down in that area of the body.
  
  I have read that oral antifungals like diflucan has been taken 5omg a day for 2 weeks with 85per cent reported condition cured.Don't know if condition returned after treatmant finished, expect it would have as treatmant not long enough.
  
  So if you had a treatment plan of diflucan, probiotics, healthy diet, glutamine(heal gut)it could be an efficient method of curing Seborrheic Dermatitis .

Your body just isn't working properly and things like antifungals will provide only temporary relief. better diet, cleansing, exercise are all great. "genetics" may play a role, but, if you really want a better understanding of how, looking into the concept of a "miasm" as understood by homeopaths. with eczema its usually the psoric miasm or the tubercular miasm. not exactly the same as genetics, but more like predisposition. but, it can be cured. homeopathy has done wonders for me.

This creates small gaps in the lining allowing food etc to lead out into the body/ bloostream etc undigested - and allegic reactions result. Also key is that this can usually result in systemic candida if not treated and all organs are effected including the skin when other organs like the liver; lungs etc are overwhelmed. Systemic candida can do a lot of damage. It has been said to generate approx 79 toxins in tht body that we would otherwise not have. It is also the waste products of these microbes that can irritate the skin.
    
    So a search on Candida and... seb derm; eczema; or whatever skin or other "strange symptoms" you may experience - many, in fact most can be connected to candida
    
    -------Definately a cause of psoriosis!! Do a search on that.
    
    The post on vitamins to deal with leaky gut looks interesting - I'm going to check out these supplements.
    
    Also look at Colloidal Silver ; areobic oxygen drops; silica gel and psyllium - there are a lot of others. You can likely find good info doing the candida search though.

    Well, that makes a lot of sense. But I had a 4 day course of powerful drugs that my doctor said would kill all the candida overgrowth, yet my Seborrheic Dermatitis issues remain. Are Malassezia and candida the same thing? Would the drugs kill one and not the other?

    Bump to help those searching....I used Nystatin for the intestines and Diflucan for the blood initially to remove the yeast fungus with a slight difference but I didn’t continue with it, I think I was just happy it was on its way out plus a sun spot disappeared also which made me celebrate with drugs for a while, I also could not stick to the diet alongside the treatment which discouraged me continuing because I thought it would not make a difference if I did not cut down on the sugars.
    
    Many years on it has almost completely disappeared apart from rare flare ups that steroid creams quickly put right. Also Mephedrone helped significantly as it allowed me to fast easily to starve the yeast that reduced the last noticeable inflammation but this is illegal now.
    I still get slight hyper proliferation always which is not noticeable that I just rub off that is not a problem, it kind of reminds me of how a cat cleans it’s paws but I use my fingers instead of my tongue,
    
    Why has my skin become this more normal state...cutting out too much milk definitely and a spiritual process I think when avoiding certain seekers and possibly becoming more Holy to not be as effected by the cause, sin.
    
    One point that should be written in stone like a Commandment of Moses at Mount Sinai when reflecting on the spiritual journey I have endured is that you should not expect a soul like Jesus or any other to atone for so many souls(infinite??).
    I believe that usually although you seek help the majority of your atonement will be made by you from the high quantity of ROA we are normally subjected to whether natural or spiritual.
    This is a major flaw in Christianity that should be stressed greatly to those who seek salvation, I also doubt a high level of grace remains which I understand.
    If Jesus became a door to Israel this would be a more realistic role if he no longer provides atonement help with the spiritual payment already sowed into the world over the centuries.
    I would advise Christianity to try and raise many souls that could help with atonement via seeking the invisible Rod of Atonement combined with a knowledgable aspect added to the spiritual sow reward for the atonement.

  does fruit feed candida? i ask this casue i suffer from ec and want to know if ec could possibly be a yeast skin condition similar to sebrohic dermatitis. i read hundreds of cure claims from people with all kinds of skin conditions from eczema to psriosis to ec to sebrohic dermatitis and some say eat fruit lots of fruit and others say to stear clear of fruit. i know theres a lot of holistic healers and practioners on this curezone website can someone with some form of reputation answer this question! i have ec lots of people on the peeling lips forum suffer with barely any cures.. maybe 3 or 4 over a 10 year period... im on very strict diet and have recently upped my fruit intake to about 3 pieces per day and want to know help a brother i need out!!!!

    In my experience, dry lips is related to kidneys issue. An easy to do kidney cleanse in the Parsley concoction. Wash a bunch of fresh parsley with how water, put in a pot and cover with water. Boil the fresh parsley far about 15 minutes and take the parsley out to drink the 'parsley tea'. It is easy to do , not too demanding and very effective.

    First I tried fruit juices. It was the worst. Then, I tried fruits and my health condition was not better. Once I stopped fruit, my health condition started to stabilize. Lowering the amount of carb intake is the most important.

      Hello, my son is 11 months old and just finished going through a horrific experience with atopic dermatitis (ezcema). My wife and I have tried everything from steroid creams to expensive moisturizers. Some temporarily relieved his symptoms only to come back later worse. Last week, his ezcema became seriously infected. I promised myself I would post something on the internet to warn parents of ezcema children. Skin infections are serious for a child and may result in death. My son somehow infected his left index finger with the a type of herpes virus. Due to his itching he scratced himself with the infected finger, and the process began. We noticed a small lesion on the lower side of his face, but figured it was just a blister. The next day, I noticed tiny circular redish vesicles on his right jaw and shoulder. The herpes virus quickly spread all over his shoulder, chest and arm. All the while my son was having an above 100 fever, which is common with this type of infection. We took him to the emergency room in town, but the doctor did not know what it was aside from saying it was infected. He precribed an oral Antibiotic (Cephlex) and sent my son home. The next day he got worse and the infection spread more. We took him to a more promiment hospital in a nearby city and they effectively treated him. If we had not taken him to this hospital, he would of surely died due to septic shock and the infection reaching his blood or Central Nervous System. We are overjoved to say our little one is doing great now and his skin is all cleared up. The Antibiotic they gave him, Acyclovir really made the difference in his recovery. Please parents, if youre son or daughter has ezcema, be vigilant. If you notice any type of lesion, vesicle, or some type of "chicken pox" looking growth on your child, do not hesitate to go to the doctor/hospital...and please do not settle for a physician who does not take it seriously, make sure they take blood work and cultures. Doing so may save a precious life.

      I wanted to know how you apply this lotion on your niece.Did you bath her daily?

        Questions lead to answers. In my response to your questions, I will occasionally post you a question as well, in order to get a better understanding of your child's experience and to hopefully lead you to the wisdom needed for healing.
        
        The most important bit of wisdom that I can give you regarding healing the skin of eczema breakout is that you obtain the understanding that eczema must be attacked in these three areas to achieve true success: internal, external, and foreign. Rehydrating the skin by moisturizing (i.e. Buttermilk Lotion) is only one part of the process. The persistent presence of the eczema flareup is indication that the allergen (the thing promoting the breakout) hasn't yet been addressed. The EXTERNAL part (moisturizing the skin) is purposed to repair the damage of the eczema flareup and to promote skin healing. The FOREIGN part (identifying the allergen) addresses and targets the instigator of the breakout (the enemy); so that you can turn the table on the allergen and attack it by ridding it from the sufferers environment, where and when possible. The INTERNAL part of the process is purposed to strengthen a weak immunity and to restore balance to an immune system that is out of balance. To boost a healthy immune system, good nutrition is key (water, fruit & vegetable). [Side Note - I'm not a vegetarian. I do eat meat. The reason that I promote the water, fruit and vegetable so fervently is because they are essential components to the body's good health; and because they are the most compromised in our daily nutriton (increasingly in children/junk food addicts).
        
        With the severe eczema breakout that occurred in our nieces, we established and knew early on that they would have to be healthy eaters. Because we were careful not to introduce the junk foods, this hasn't been a struggle with our nieces. This is the reason for their long term success in healing the skin of eczema breakout (over 4 years). Why is this so important for you to know now? Children grow quickly. Right now your breast milk is providing the babies nutrition and still holds the title as #1 in nutritional value.(smile) We introduced a multivitamin (for infants) in liquid form to supplement our nieces vitamin deficiency and to aide in promoting balance to their immune system. The doctors prescribed treatment is to suppress the immune system; however, we chose (instead) to provide health to the immune system. The result: healing the skin of eczema (from which they said was no cure). Again, this INTERNAL stage is what will maintain the long term success.
        
        It is termed that some sufferers of eczema receive eczema through heredity. This was the prescribed case for my nieces. However, and in actuality, they didn't inherit the breakout; they inherited an immunity that was susceptible to breakout. Knowing this, we knew that we could turn that around by addressing the INTERNAL as I mentioned above. Now, because they had an immunity that was susceptible to breakout, any allergen that entered their environment would bring about a flareup. For them, the instigators for breakout were baby formula and dust mites. Another instigator that I'm recently finding out was culprit as well are certain immunization shots. Because we had identified the allergens (FOREIGN), we knew exactly what to get rid of. Here are some of the allergens that promote eczema breakout: certain foods (specific to the individual/not general to all sufferers), pet dander, pollen, dust mites, dry air/unclean air, drying soaps/detergents, household cleansers, paints/chemical toxins, stess, and for infants, some immunization shots. Have you identified your child's allergens (FOREIGN)? Also, keep in mind that teething (an excess of saliva/bacteria on face) can also promote eczema breakout. My other assumption regarding the teething is that like stress, it produces cortisol (the stress hormone that contributes to eczema breakout). That is strictly my personal hypothesis, not scientific. In other words, that's my opinion (not a statement of proven truth).
        
        Regarding moisturizing (EXTERNAL/rehydrating the dehydrated skin), we found it very important to apply the moisturizer to clean skin. We bathed the girls daily with the Burt's Bees Buttermilk soap, moisturized immediately after with the Buttermilk lotion, and applied the Baby Bee talc free powder. We applied the lotion twice daily (morning and night); and occasionaly in between those applications when needed. We didn't use any other creams or medications for eczema. This cleansing regimen was our only medication. Simplicity is the key. It's important not to overwhelm the babies skin with a lot of different creams or medications. We didn't medicate the eczema. We chose to boost the health of the immune system by applying the natural, vitamin enriched lotion; so that it could fight off the bacteria promoting the breakout and heal the skin. Especially during the teething stage, you will have to be more diligent in keeping that area clean (a damp wash cloth or baby wipe that doesn't contain harsh chemicals will suffice). I know it's a lot of work; but, it's only temporary.
        
        Whole Foods market (a national health food chain) has a natural teething gel (forgot the name) that may help you during those times. If you have a Whole Foods market in your area, it's a good place to visit for all of your baby's nutritional and cleansing needs. Because so many people are now getting back to good nutrition in order to achieve good health, there are (unfortunately) many scam artists who are trying to cash in on the deal. Whole Foods market has done the work of weeding out the scams for you in order to bring you the most reputable product line. This is why I recommend this particular store. You already have enough to deal with regarding the eczema without having to concern yourself with product integrity. You will still have to be diligent in product choice; however, it just helps to know that the company is concerned with integrity as well.
        
        When did your child's breakout start?
        What other medications have you used on your child and are you still using them in conjunction with the Burt's Bees cleansing regimen?
        Did you notice some sign of improvement immediately with the Burt's Bees lotion? (I ask this question to determine whether or not your baby is allergic to the lotion)
        Do you have pets?
        Did your child develope a breakout after an immunization?
        Are dust mites an issue in your environment?
        
        Hopefully this provides you with more insight into eczema and gives you the comfort in knowing that you can conquer it.

          When did your child's breakout start? my child breakout start when he was around 9-10 weeks old. i saw some dry patches on legs ,arms,and face. then i went to india ,all the patches gone ,erxcept for the face. In India that time it was cold (Jan_FEb) he wore home knit woollen clothes .What i figure out as all other patches were gone ,he got this big patch crusty due to wool as he rub his eyes ,moving hands that patch got rubbibg constantly (friction)due to woollen.So i am not sure its due to different weather or WOOLlen is the cause of small dry patch to become such a big crusty red oozing thing.There i did home remedy as well as homeopathic treatment for 1 month during my India stay but so far nothing .Some days i felt his patch is recovering,somedays same old.Now he is 20 weeks old.

          What other medications have you used on your child and are you still using them in conjunction with the Burt's Bees cleansing regimen? I used only Hydrocortisone .5% just for 4 days ,it flares up again.Nothing i am using with BUrt bees cleansing regimen.

          Did you notice some sign of improvement immediately with the Burt's Bees lotion? (I ask this question to determine whether or not your baby is allergic to the lotion) Yes i, saw some improvement like lightening of the patch and less oozing ,but that i saw last week also during Burt bee treatment (it again flares now)and during homeopathic treatment also.

          Do you have pets? No

  Hi I became a member last night to ask a question. I have tried to absorb all the knowledge on this forum. I'm very greatfull to everyone. Thank you.
  
  I have a 1 year old boy for whom Im wanting help. When he was about 4 months he had to have anti biotics recommended by the gp because he had an infection for cradle cap.
  
  Since the course of anti biotics, he has developed eczema. He was on breast milk and later as added extra he began to take raw goats milk. This helped but the problem still persists.
  
  He gets inflamed skin, blobs on the skin and red rash when he needs to release gas or have a poo. Once he's release gas or poo the skin stops being inflamed. Everything calms down.
  
  Past 3 weeks IV started to give him black seed oil. In giving him 1ml of oil, I brought oil press and make my own oil for him so I know it's real etc.
  
  Please can anyone advice if they have heard these symptoms before or what to give him.
  
  After googling etc, my own intuition is he doesn't have enough good bacteria in the large intestines which cause gas build up.

    I am very interested in your recovery from eczema using lugol's.
    I suffer from extreme eczema on my face/neck/hands/arms and am looking into using Lugol's Iodine to clear it.
    I recently purchased Lugol's Iodine 5% and selenium - once I receive them I plan to use only 1 drop a day, as I am very new to this and want to be careful.
    
    How long did it take for your eczema to clear using iodine? Did it get worst before it got better?

Iodine is important and needs o be taken for your thyroid function daily. 2-5 drops a day depending in the strength and your thyroid function.
      
      If liver is clean and does good cleaning of blood your skin will not have to do the cleaning job. Also eat before sun down so your liver gets good time to clean your body at night time.

  Just thought I would give this thread theory a bump, if anyone knows of some super strong new age antifungals to apply I think it could work. With using Nystatin and Fluconaze my condition showed an improvement at the time but it was only a short course. After a second noticeable bout of SD I used some Flucoazole albeit only a small amount but no improvement seen.
  
  I now usually have none noticeable SD that does not hinder my life thank God and touch wood.

  My theory on seborrheic dermatits(BTW i am no doc so likely to be incorrect)
  
  If Malassezia, which doctors believe is the yeast that causes seb derm on the skin, occurs naturally on many animals and humans, why do only relatively few people have Seborrheic Dermatitis ? In my opinion, there are two reasons: an overgrowth of yeast(namely malassezia) in the gut, and genetics. The next question we come across is: why would an overgrowth of yeast in the gut cause a inflammatory reaction on the skin? Well, the answer to that is that inflammation is a reaction of the immune system. It works like this: When there is a yeast overgrowth in the gut(intestines, leading to leaky gut) then the immune system tries to seek out and destroy the yeast to reduce its numbers. When this happens, the immune system sends out antibodies and killer t cells(don't know correct terminology of the immune system) to seek out other areas of the body and attack the SAME yeast that is infecting the gut. So it finds Malassezia, which is found naturally on the skin especially in the seborrheic rich areas and causing no problems, but the immune system attacks it anyway. How does the immune system attack the yeast? Through inflammation. Bingo - burning, sensitive skin, erythema and flaking.
  
  That would explain why anti-dandruff shampoos,anti fungals topical , seem to have a positive effect on Seborrheic Dermatitis when applied topically to the skin. It reduces the malassezia, which calms the immune system down in that area of the body.
  
  I have read that oral antifungals like diflucan has been taken 5omg a day for 2 weeks with 85per cent reported condition cured.Don't know if condition returned after treatmant finished, expect it would have as treatmant not long enough.
  
  So if you had a treatment plan of diflucan, probiotics, healthy diet, glutamine(heal gut)it could be an efficient method of curing Seborrheic Dermatitis .

  Hi, I'm a 20 y/o woman who recently started getting some scaly skin on my chin. It started out as a small patchy piece of skin in the center of my chin. Then I started getting little bumps on the right side of my chin, which I thought was acne. But now the dry patch and bumps both turned into scales that randomly itch and get red (when I eat or move my mouth) or during sleeping. The scales seems to be getting bigger and falling off, but now I see small bumps again on the left side of my chin that will eventually probably turn into the same scale. I researched perioral, allergic, irritant dermatitis and none of them show the severe scaling I have. Exfoliating/picking makes it worse.
  
  My derm is no help. I have no allergies, eat healthy, and don't put anything synthetic on my face. I started brushing with water only in fear it was my toothpaste but that didn't help.

    I recommend using a korean italy towel. I'm about to make a post about it myself.
    
    What I did was soak in the tub for 20 minutes-- for you you'd make sure your chin is getting soaked. Then sit up out of the water and rub the area. The dirt will come off like that gray stuff that comes off your eraser when you use it. I believe issues like this stem from skin shedding problems.
    
    For me, I have icthyosis on my chest, and face, tiny zits on my face, eczema on my face and legs and neck, and cracked skin on my arms and legs and face.
    
    It used to be really bad, though my icthyosis cleared up some(mostly) when I switched to voda soap. Then recently I changed my diet to paleo (no wheat, grains, no milk)and then I dropped soap comepletely. The kicker is when I used the korean italy towel, after soaking in the tub. I soaked for 20, then as I said above lifted the area or stood out of the water to rub my skin. I did that for about 1:30, going back in the water when I got tired. Sooo much dirt came off and my skin glowed. The change was incredible. I firmly believe that towel is the only way to get legitmately clean. I boought it for 2.99 off ebay.
    
    I've tried a lot of stuff, way more expensive stuff, alapha hydroxy acid, Sugar scrub, lotion soaps, natural shea butter soaps. Then I realized soap sucks, and when I use scrubs it made my skin scar, the same way when I scratch my skin.
    
    So save yourself the money and get the thing. Also there's this review I read on amazon that said you can stuff a face towel/wash cloth inside the korean italy towel and basically use it like a sponge intead of a weird pocket glove thing.

  Hello everyone, i’d like some help please. I’ve been suffering from hand eczema for 2 years now and it passed on to behind my knees and my eyelids. Currently, im trying the candida diet( for 10 days now) but it seems like it is getting a lot worse and eczema is appearing on new areas. Im not sure if its a detox state. Today, ive done my first enema and lots of junk came out. The worsening of my eczema is really demotivating me. Can someone suggest what I can do or if I am in the right direction?

  I have the same story as everyone. Seen every doctor, they all tell us to use Ketazole, which stops working quick, if it ever does. Steroids work a bit but we all know they have a bunch of repercussions.
  
  I tried tea tree oil for a while but even that stopped working.
  
  I had bad Seborrheic Dermatitis . My face was covered in dandruff and if I scratched it, it would sometimes bleed underneath the flakes. I had it in my brows, between them, on my forehead, and on and around the nose, and my neck. We're talking a very VERY intense case.
  
  I was doing research about anti-inflammatory cryotherapy for muscles, and stumbled upon an article on OIL OF OREGANO. I know a lot of people are against oils on the face but this is more of an essence not an oil.
  
  OIL OF OREGANO has anti-fungal properties that are stronger than most medications (from personal experience now), and it has anti-inflammatory traits too. I was at my whits end one day, my face was covered in flakes and redness, so I went to Whole Foods and bought it. It's about $20 for a fairly small vile. It burned like a SOB. I would not recommend doing it right out of the shower. It smelled like a greek salad, it made my face red, and stung. The next morning I noticed that my redness was at about 60% of what it was the day before. I tried the oil again, by the next day I was at 75% gone, and by the third day I was at 95% perfect skin. It also cleared up my acne.
  
  It's been three months now, and I've had not a single flare up. I kept a calendar for a doctor, and I would only have 2-3 dermatitis free days a month at max. I haven't had any redness, flakes, or anything for 3 months. The oil I use also has olive oil in it, so my skin hasn't dried out.
  
  For a moisturizer, I was told to try Tidal, which may only be sold at Sephora. It's $65 but you also don't use much. It made my skin extremely soft and was undoing the damage dermatitis did very quickly.
  
  PLEASE KEEP IN MIND- I'm sensitive to everything. Even sunblock gives me the worst most painful flare ups. I have tried everything, and even vinegar, baking soda, lemon, and every chemical you can buy. This is the ONLY thing that has ever worked in 15 years. PLEASE- I hate this disease. It's not cancer but it's your face and it's the most frustrating thing in the world because no doctors seem to care. I was in pain, and I'd scratch my face all hours of the day. Please just try OIL OF OREGANO. I want this to be a non-issue for all of us. Good luck!

    Could you share with us the manufacturer of the Oil of Oregano you used please. I have done an online search and there are so many on the market, of all kind of different qualities. So to get your recommendation on that would be great.

    Hi - I was just diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis (SD) and am trying the oil of oregano (“OO”) today. The reason I have no hesitation in trying the OO is because I know it has worked for me many times in the past for other ailments such as sore throats. For example, I have used OO to get rid of sore throats and felt the burning sensation mentioned above. The burning sensation is from the carvrocol in the OO literally “blowing up” the bad microbes causing the ailment. Once my sore throat was gone and I applied the OO, there was no more burning sensation! This simply means that the OO accomplished killing the bad microbes causing the ailment. I will try to let you all know if the OO works for my SD also. To answer questions posed above: Whole Foods has their own version of OO. Buy it (comes with dropper) and put a single drop on finger and spread in affected skin. Be sure to not get the OO in your eyes! I was careful in applying to my face for the SD and do not want to find out what happens if OO got in an eye!

      Update. I have used the oil of oregano for six days. The problem is SB is caused by malassezia yeast which feeds on most oils. So although the OO is burning the yeast, the olive oil base of the OO seems to be spreading the malassezia around some. I have read that malassezia does not do well with oils that have carbon chains below 10 (C10 and below).. There is now an oil of oregano available that is not based in olive oils but based in MCTs ( which should be C10 and below). I have ordered some of this non-0live-oil based OO. In the meantime I am trying using the salt water facial bathing which is suggested as being extremely effective on SB by others on this site. Until next update, best wishes to all.

  I have been supplementing Iodine for about 2 months now. I am a vegan and was looking for essentials I could not get from my diet. I came across Iodine and started supplementing in micrograms. Those days were my best days as I felt energized, skin was better, and felt more alert.
  
  Then I started to more research and went ahead and started supplementing Lugols 2%. At this point the only co supplement I was using was selenium. I went up to 25mg over the course of a couple weeks and thats when my detox symptoms started to hit very badly.
  
  My main goals were to clear up my skin and enhance brain functions. I have been struggling with Acne and eczema. I started to research more on the co factors needed. I started to salt load, supplement niacin 250mg, riboflavin 100mg, zinc 25mg, selenium 300mcg, vitamin c 2-10g, and magnesium 400mg. All these did not help much with my detox symptoms.
  
  My skin was drying and flaking so bad at one point that I gave in and took a 50mg dose after reading people's success with high dose protocols. That helped for a few days until I started to develop rashes all over mostly on my neck and shoulders. I took 4 days off. Rashes were still there but I felt better after taking lots of vitamin C.
  
  After that I took a bold step and took a 100mg dose. Bad move. Since then I have been in a heavy detox symptom state for longer than a week now. Rashes and acne, heavy brain fog fatigue. I immediately stopped but the symptoms seemed to get worse.
  
  
  I also realized that I was using Morton Sea Salt which may or may not be unrefined. So I bought Celtic's Sea Salt and have been doing 1/2tsp 2-3 times a day. That seems to be helping, but very slowly. So my question is, have I not been detoxing correctly this whole time?   Finally! Found pictures of myself taken on my first CCWS cleanse back in 2015.
  
  For many years I’ve had blister eczema on my hand. My doctor said it was CHRONIC and that I had to live with it the rest of my life. CCWS proved the opposite. Cured my blister eczema 100%!!! See after pics in the comments. 😁

  The strongest and fastest Candida treatment I’ve ever used are CCWS. It works fast and are really getting the chitin surrounding the Candida fungus out of the body. My doctor said I would never cure the eczema on my hand, but I did exactly that with CCWS!
  
  Still to this day I’m a little confused about the severe pain in my head/behind my ears and why it is there. Now 80% better than when it first started though.
  
  First of all I have to say that CCWS (Lufenuron) is a wonderful product. It cured all the blister eczema I had on my left hand. But this was not all I used throughout my cleanse with CCWS. I also used essential oil supplements for internal use in capsules through the candida cleansing process with CCWS. Something I’m sure made it a big success!
  
  
  My thoughts on it is this. If I use CCWS to clear the chitin layer of the actual Candida Fungus why not help my immun system to get rid of the Candida with the use of potent oils for internal use at the same time, like: Clove bud, Peppermint, Oregano and Thyme.   Hello,
  I have had candida for about 8 years. Long story short I saw about 10 different doctors before I finally diagnosed myself by reading up online. I then finally got a doctor to prescribe me nystatin which worked at first but doesn’t seem to work anymore.
  Anyway my question is, I have been taking multiple different antifungals l (nystatin, Colloidal Silver , Pau D’ arco etc...). All of which seems to work at first and then stop working. So am I just making this candida stronger, because it seems to be resistant to almost everything now. And what Can I do after candida becomes resistant to a anti fungal?

    What are your symptoms ?
    
    Do you get any fungal infection on your skin ?
    
    How bad or how good is your digestion ?
    
    How do you know that candida is your only problem ?
    
    
    
    Do you know that there are at least 1000 different species of microorganisms that are suppose to live inside our colon? Several Candida species are found inside healthy colon!
    
    Candida species are suppose to live inside our intestines, so you can not expect to eradicate Candida !!!

      My symptoms are: The main one is my feet, I get a terrible rash which pretty much looks like dyshidrosis. Once in awhile it will pop up on my hands, legs, back etc....(to the point where I can’t even walk).
      My lymph nodes will also swell up once in awhile.
      
      My digestion seems to switch from constipation and diarrhea.
      
      I don’t know that candida is my only problem because I’m so hesitant to go back to any doctors because I believe they made my situation so much worse.
      
      I have never tried a liver flush, I am currently doing P and B shakes and taking oxy cleanse on the weekends.( I can’t do it during the week because my bathroom situation is not the greatest at work).
      
      What will I need to do for a liver flush?

          I have, been taking enzymes for about 3 weeks or so before every meal. Also take 90 billion probiotic 3 times a day.

        4 tbsp of Epsom Salts
