28 Days into my Liquid Fast

28 Days today, & 2 days of being back to strictly liquids only after having small amounts of food for 5 days during my period. Feeling really good again - today was the first day I really rocked my whole course of Yoga in a couple weeks with all the traveling & other things I've been doing - so at the moment, I'm doing a lot more active stuff more easily - yoga, bushwalks, kayaking - but also a lot more lethargic/sleepy during the day when not being active (think big cat)
I was getting very floaty there for a couple days but that feeling has passed - I've been drinking lots more water with a squeeze of lime or a few drops of YL lemon oil since passing all that clay last weekend & on the 26th day I gave myself a very successful series of enemas with a well retained coffee enema (sometimes I don't hold them in as long as I'd like & sometimes it goes very well) - that helped me release a little more of that very foul smelling clay like matter and some of the enema stayed in my colon afterwards, I could hear it still swishing around last night & the night before. I took a couple of sennakot laxative tablets before the enema & another couple this morning - today after that and the yoga I flushed a lot of stuff out, kind of suprizing how much is there considering how deep into the fast I am, how much I've already passed etc - the left over water & the sennakot really did the trick though & I'm now feeling much lighter & flatter & very uplifted.
I have been using a series of enemas I found online after a lot of researching - so basically doing 2 clearing enemas, the first with a few drops of Dr. Bronners liquid castille soap, not really trying to retain that, just to clear before the retaining enema - the 2nd I'll do purified water with a few drops of YL Purification & a tsp of sea or himilayan salt & then I'll follow these by the coffee enema, usually done twice, to this I will add some fresh cilantro juice & maybe some tangerine or frankincense essential oil for heavy metal detox - also taking a big spoonful of chlorophyll before I start and again before the coffee enema which also helps with the detox. It's a really great series to do & I've got one bunch of cilantro left to juice so I might do this again today or tomorrow before the cilantro is too old basically.
I'm not going to be doing these enemas daily or taking too much sennakot either for that matter - I've been thinking as I seem to be at a stage in the fast where I am eliminating quite a bit that I might start taking some pysllium husk & water drinks to help the process & just do the enemas once or twice a week - keep up my water intake & take the sennakot on the days I do the enemas. I have one laxative tea here, Hilde's Herbal - I recall using it once before on a fast & finding it way too powerful so not really going to give that a try - I have another much milder & nice tea in the city at the other place, I'd probably try that if it was here.
Feeling very well integrated back on this fast now, no problems going back to liquids only, had a bit of cramping with my period and these eliminations, still slight much better though - feel able to go forward now until my next period probably when I might break the fast with some small food again - it's early Feb, that will probably be around the last week of the month - bringing my fast to somewhere in the 50-60 day mark by then, sort of looking ahead to that as the next big landmark.
I'm feeling more and more like having water now, warm water with lime etc & not craving sweet drinks as much - so the other thought is to drink more warm water & not do a water fast, but just have a bit more water in proportion to the other things I drink, I have been making kombucha for the last few weeks so have some of that on hand now & have found that that really helps to pick me up with I get really flat - the one thing that is a little bit tough at the moment is feeling very sleepy and taking quite a few naps now - I think with the eliminations - well I feel that this is a big clean up part of the fast going on internally & that it's not just the lack of calories as I'm sure my body has plenty stored energy still to burn, but the deep process going on inside that is making me feel like rest & lots of it - probably a good thing, in between the rest I'm feeling good & active - much lighter on my feet walking up hills or paddling down a river etc - so I guess I'll just live like a cat until this phase shifts & my energy bounces back to a more constant level.
It's beautiful out, I am going to head out for a bushwalk now - take a long one, which will be great, making up quite a lot of exercise for today, one really good long morning yoga session & a good long bushwalk in the late aftenoon while the sun is golden. I've got transcribing to do & promised to cook my bf some dinner after that - maybe a warm soak in the tub with some candles and an early night.
