Monday (Day 47)
Things to appreciate
Date: 3/24/2008 5:36:11 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2073 times I'm very happy that I have good health. I know I'm bugging about getting FANTASTIC health, but the health I do have enables me to do tons of stuff and I don't have any major issues. I was able to find a cure for my UTI's and I'm very grateful for that. And since taking some of the alkalizing drink (minus pickling lime water which I don't have yet), my skin has gotten better.
I'm very happy about my friends and family. They are good - my friends and husband especially. I love them. I got some friend-bonding yesterday and that was nice.
I'm very grateful for the opportunity to do hospice. It sounds like it will be amazing. I think I'll set up a visit to one of the homes this weekend.
I'm grateful for my self awareness. Even though sometimes it turns in on me and can be tough, it is the means through which I can improve. I can't imagine not being self aware and being stuck with the same issues and no improvement until something major forces change. I go after change and I like that. It gives me a feeling of purpose, that I'm doing something.
I'm grateful that I enjoy food. In spite of issues, it is a pleasure and I like the new rules that I'm using to eat food. It seems to help me enjoy food more while starting to get a grip on that elusive quality of moderation??? I sure love me a good salad or crisp apple or Superfood Odwalla bar. :-)
I am grateful that God gave us sex. Oh yes, that's right, I said it. I loooove sex. Ok, well I haven't exactly HAD any for waaaaay too long, but I'm grateful for my strength of character that I have not or would not while my husband is away (in spite of a few flattering offers from some cuties!). When he gets back, it will all be worth it and I anticipate how wonderful it will be to be intimite with him again and for that I can express anticipatory gratitude on the wonderous thing that is sex. yuuuuuuuuuuuuum.
I am grateful for my hair. It is purdy. I'm grateful for my eyes. They're neat. And my lips... they are fun. I'm grateful for beautiful Hawaii and I plan to spend some time next week enjoying the island while my friend is in town.
I'm grateful for the vast opportunity here at work to make a difference but also the fact that it pressured me enough to realize that I haven't been taking time out to enjoy life. So I'm grateful for that. The end.
