If I may comment...your understanding of LOA may be a more of the pop version than the actual principle . Many people talk about it yet fail to understand properly.It does not have to be absolute but it does exist and if you understand it, you will see it.
We attract everything into our lives based on our dominant thoughts & feelings, this happens on a sub conscious level for the most part since thats where most of our feelings and actions come from.

Also, the universe wants us to grow, so we will also attract people, circumstances and yes we will attract a crisis when we are not living our dream, from our heart. We will attract a crisis to wake us up and get us back on our path.

Dont think in terms of absolute...think in terms of flexibility to whtever happens and find the blessing in everything and know that whatever you attract is perfectly designe to keep you living from your heart and living your dream. LOA is grossly misunderstood by most and even The Secret promotes some misinformation.
