Day 11 18 y
Day 11 was uneventful
Well, I worked late on day 11 and came home tired. I spent the evening watching a movie and didn’t even have enough energy to deadhead my garden. My throat was raw, my glands were enlarged, I had a headache and chills. Overall, I felt quite blah. I meant to get to bed early but had some housekeeping to do.
So far today is still a bit blah. My throat is feeling better though. I don’t have much of an update. Hopefully tonight I will get some rest and tomorrow will be better.

Day 10 18 y
Felt rundown and laid low most of my 4th of July
I felt very run down most of day ten. This is mostly due the liver flush I did the night before. While I didn’t pass many stones (about 25 total), I did eliminate huge quantities of bright yellow BM. Even if my flush only helped some of the overload from my liver out the door, it was worth it.
Most of the day I had a terrible headache and no energy. I went for a walk with my husband and was panting and falling behind within a couple of blocks (usually he’s struggling to keep up with me). By the afternoon I decided it was best just to lay low, watching movies and napping.

Day 9 and Liver Flush 18 y
Night of Day 9 started a Liver Flush
Day 9 went alright. I had a headache off and on and lacked energy. My BMs continued to be bright yellow so I decided to do a liver flush that night. I knew I was unlikely to remove many stones since your bile production reduces significantly while MCing.
I started with the epsom salts at 6 pm per the Clark recipe. They are brutal. I had explosive BMs all night. The epsom salts completely dehydrated me (you aren’t allowed to drink until morning or you’ll get sick).
After reading the liver flush forum I found some people substitute the morning epsom salts with a SWF and still hav ... read more
Day 6 - 8 18 y
Day 6 - 8 good with lots of temptations
Friday was another crazy day at work. Then on Saturday morning we drove five hours to Spokane to see my in-laws (informal family reunion each 4th of July weekend).
Usually one of the best parts of these family get togethers is the non-stop tasty food. It’s everywhere and smells so good. I kept sniffing the big bowl of potato salad when no one was looking and the italian pasta salad too. Weird things look good to me like the plate of onions (sandwich condiments) were more tempting than the raspberry cream cheese dessert that I love. It’s funny what our bodies want when we are cleans ... read more
Day 5 (with new goals) 18 y
Another day of progress
Right now is late morning Day 6 and I’m doing well. Yesterday I worked a long day (just over 14 hours with no lunch break) and still had to deadhead the garden in the dark, feed our animals, and juice ten lemons/limes (while oil pulling) for the next day (oh wait and get the lemon peels out to the worm bin, run some laundry, start the dishwasher). By the time I was done I couldn’t sleep. I have a feeling today will be a very long day.
Hopefully tonight I will get tons of sleep although my husband will be home (he’s currently working nights) so I will likely stay up with him because I ... read more
Day 4 18 y
Day 4 was more difficult but I'm making progress
Well here I am into day 5. To recap yesterday, I had my colonic and felt great. Then a couple of hours later I started a big argument with a coworker (not very productive, I know). I continued to hate everything and everyone for the rest of the evening (worked late-again). By then my whole body ached (no matter how much water I drank). I had a raging headache and my stomach would not stop grumbling (even though I didn’t feel hungry).
When I went home to an empty house feeling weak and tired. I took a warm Epsom Salt bath. I can’t remember the last time I took a bath. It was rela ... read more
First Colonic! 18 y
I had my first colonic and it was wonderful!
I just had my first colonic and it was great! Nothing like I expected, the session was relaxed and informative. I found out that the bright yellow BMs I’ve been having is due to a lot of toxins being removed from my liver (thanks to all those depression meds that didn’t even work).
Tons of mucous came out and now I feel so much better. My shoulders even feel less tight. The ”Tummy Templer” (that’s what they call the colonics therapists where I went) suggested I complete a series of liver flushes when I get off the MC. She has done the MC and other cleanses many times. It was so ni ... read more
Day 3 18 y
Day 3 getting a bit tougher - starting to see progress
Well I’m mostly through day 3 and I can already see a difference in my body. My stomach feels flatter even though I’m on my period (and that’s saying a lot since I’m overweight). My skin on the other hand feels greasy. Cruddy old toxins spewing from my pores.
I was cranky off and on today with a bit of a headache. Feeling super hungry but trudging on like a good little MC camper. I noticed more emotions (read grouchiness) just before every BM I passed today (lots of mucousy slime). It makes me want to drink even more Smooth Move tea to get that gunk out of me.
One of my coworke ... read more
Day 2 18 y
Day 2 - emotional chaos but overall good day
Well, right now it is the morning of day 3. I weighed myself just after chugging my SWF and I am already down to 172 pounds (3 lb loss). More importantly, how is my cleanse going so far?
Just after arriving to work yesterday morning, I dropped (broke into a hundred pieces) a teapot from Grandma Jessie. She passed away two years ago and everytime I used the pot that sat adorning my desk I thought of her. Although I’m a pretty reserved person when it comes to things like this, I cried uncontrollably for a long time. Maybe it was a good opportunity to mourn her loss.
It was strange ... read more

Day 1 FINALLY! 18 y
Master Cleanse Day 1 - Skipped the Liver Flush
Okay so I started on the apple juice for the liver flush yesterday afternoon (hoping to get a jump start). I had purchased the fresh pressed type and HATED it. It had a funky after taste and I wanted to scrape the coating it left on my tongue off on the driveway. Yuck. Well, after that I decided to scrap the flush (terrible I know). Only once before did I do a liver cleanse before the MC and I’ve never had a problem.
So the good news is I offically started the Master Cleanse today! I’m so excited (I’ve been saying that a lot lately). I completed my first salt water flush this mor ... read more
Starting Liver/Gallbladder flush a day early! 18 y
Excitement mounts as the start date approaches
Each time I have done the Master Cleanse in the past, my husband has acted like I’m a total weirdo. Last night, I told him I was looking forward to losing weight before our anniversary (July 28th is our 5 year anny) and he’s suddenly questioning why I haven’t started the cleanse yet. While this may seem like an aweful thing, I’m all excited because I can start my liver flush tomorrow (4 days of only apple juice and water) followed by the MC.
I also realized I’m going to Spokane next weekend to see my hubbies family. I’ll probably get a bunch of guff from the in-laws but I could care ... read more
Tea and Cayenne Pepper 18 y
Prepping for my cleanse journey with a lot of detox tea and cayenne pepper
To gear up for my liver/gallbladder flush and then Master Cleanse, I’m trying to clean up my act as much as possible. I’ve been oil pulling for three days and exercising more than usual. I wish I could start today (but weekend plans with my hubby would get in the way).
I’ve drank soooooooo much tea over the last few days that I expect to explode any time now. I think I’m up to 6 cups of Yogi Peach Detox so far today and it’s not even 2 yet. Although gross, I can see that I’m passing food out in just hours! Yesterday I expelled my breakfast grapefruit just after lunch (hadn’t had an ... read more
Change of Plans 18 y
Change of Plans
I have decided to do the ”Cleansing or Surgery” liver flush before I start my Master Cleanse. I’ve tried the more popular Dr. Clark’s flush but just can’t keep the epson salt down and struggle to sleep on my back. I’m hoping this less difficult version will still be effective (even let’s me sleep on my favored right side).
This will postpone my Master Cleanse start date to next Friday. Hopefully this will make the beginning easier though because you only consume apple juice and water for four days during the flush. My bowels will be empty when I start the MC. Maybe if I feel up to i ... read more
Garlic Issues 18 y
Garlic Obsession during the Master Cleanse?
Ok, I’ve been trying to figure out why I crave garlic everytime I fast. Last time I went on a garlic binge for over a month after I ended my 12 day fast. It was weird because I would actually eat uncook garlic even though it burned my mouth and stomach. I felt like a total freak eating glue or something. I tried to hide it but the garlic oozing from my pores gave me away.
Anyway, to prep for my upcoming MC I bought liquid garlic drops to add to my smooth move tea each evening to prevent my weird issue. I’m excited about how I will feel when I decide to stop the fast. My skin should ... read more
Opening Thoughts 18 y
Here are my goals and reasons for starting the Master Cleanse at this time.
Today is Wednesday and I’m not starting the Master Cleanse until Monday. I’ve already stocked up on herbal teas including Yogi Peach Detox, Smooth Move, and Sleepytime. On the advice of a fellow MC follower, I’ve purchased some Beaudreax Butt Paste (possibly butchered the spelling) and am very excited about some possible relief from the fires to come from below.
The reason I’ve decided to fast at this time include:
* to show some control over my chaotic feeling world
* to cleanse my body of the numerous depression meds my doctor has recently had me try
* to break the daily cycle ... read more
