Tongue Tips 18 y
rolling out the white carpet
During the Master Cleanse, you can expect to detox through
all the various methods the body uses to get rid of body waste.
One of the ways our body uses is the tongue. Ideally, your
tongue should be pink and smooth. Most people get yellow or
white gunk on the surface of their tongue on a daily basis.
This can be exacerbated during the Master Cleanse as your
detoxing progresses. The build-up or coating on your tongue
can be greatly improved by brushing and tongue scraping.
During the Master Cleanse, as the body begins its job of
healing the different organs in the body, you ... read more
Day 19 18 y
looking for treasure
Day 19 was eventful. I marathon watched major flooding in
Houston on television. Houston is just down the road from me.
It was a main topic among the neighbors, some who called, one
who came to visit. It was coming up like a ”comma” and circling
back to head towards us. The rain began in the late evening but
we were more in the feeder bands again and so Brenham got the
most of it. Overnight, some places got 14 inches of rain, and
more today!
Here, the gardens look great and its nice to see everything
greening up again. The rain really amped my wheat ... read more
Twenty Dollars 18 y
deciphering your worth
A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill.
In the room of 200, he asked. ”Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up. He said, ”I am going to give this $20 to one
of you - but first, let me do this.”
He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. ”Who
still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air.
”Well,” he replied, ”what if I do this?” He dropped it on the
ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He
picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. ”Now, who still wants it?”

Day 18 18 y
don't worry, be happy
Day 18 progressed fine for me. I was a woman on a mission of
escalating my cayenne in my lemonade. It was as effective as
Detour bragged about and although it did make my belly ache,
I thought it was worth it. I doubt I will go further than a
1/4th of a teaspoon for now, but certainly I will continue to
do it.
Had rain on and off again, and the ground soaked it up since we
have been having a drought. There were parts of the day when the
sun actually came out and I went outside to check out the property
and inspect the garden.
I did real well with my Master Clean ... read more
Spiritual Purification 18 y
letting go & allowing
Humans have, over time, realized that spiritual hunger can be fed by purifiying the body by fasting and meditating.
The Master Cleanse is a good way to achieve spiritual purification, especially when you are able to fast for longer periods of time. I found that once the digestive system has been quieted and my cravings had subsided, that my interests in loftier thoughts took up the room thinking about food had previously been. I consider myself a spiritual person already, but the Master Cleanse gave me an opportunity to develop a spiritual relationship between fasting and making fo ... read more
Day 17 18 y
the beat goes on
Day 17 began with my mad dash to the post office and a return in the pouring rain. It was like an amusement ride getting back home down our dirt road which when it is flooding out, is more akin to an amusement ride, slip-sliding away!
It was nice to be a hero to the dogs who were so excited to be in the house where it was dry, they were doggie-dancing!
The rain continued on and off more of the day. More on than off and so I kept up with the beat and settled in for a day of hum-drum detoxing. I did my salt water flush, made my lemonade and one by one, clicked down my ... read more
Day 16 18 y
when it rains, it pours
Day 16 was a day of work for me. Preparing for the weekend, and catching up on chores I had let slid when company came. It felt good to put everything to rights again. My SWF was really productive....amazing to see this progress on day 16. A couple of hours later I began to run a fever and I took it as another sign that my body had excavated a nest of funk! Yay!!
My excitement waned however and as the day wore on, I became tired. I did all my tricks to rev up my motor, used the chi machine, rebounded, and even did a reflexology massage on my feet!
I forced myself to keep hydrat ... read more
Day 15 18 y
going with the flow
Day 15 began with the departure of my company. We had fun, me drinking my salt water flush, he drinking chai. We had bought a Bodum Milk Frother on our shopping spree and he had gotten the idea that using it to mix up the chai would be a good experiment. He hit the chai with that gizmo and it was like chai on a sit-n-spin or whirl-n-spin...it went all over the place and we laughed ourselves silly.
My salt water flush hit while I was waving goodbye...and so I was glad to have some privacy again since the salt water flush can be noisy!!
The rest of the day was delightfully bo ... read more
Mastering Yourself 18 y
the power of your thoughts
Often, in the Master Cleanse Forum, you will read where someone writes, ”This salt water flush is killing me!”. Or someone writes, ”I can’t stand the cayenne, I can’t do this!”. There is a wide range of statements which help or hurt your efforts to clean and heal your body. Your word is like a wand, or a sword. It can tear down, build up, or even fall silent, in denial. Your self-talk, or self-thinking, is a very important aspect of the Master Cleanse. What you think really does matter.
I learned this lesson, when I was confronted with healing my own cancer. I had said the words a ... read more
Day 14 18 y
a day of victory
Day 14 was another breeze, a day of victory too! I fixed coffee and
brunch for my company and with the exception of dipping my finger in
the coffee to see if I got the sweetness right, I didnt eat a crumb!
Later, we went to town and shopped for the fun of it. I put on a new
dress so felt in a gleeful mood. We were planning some future meals
together so at one place which sells gourmet food, we bought lemon curd
and fire-roasted veggie tapenade, and some sun-dried tomato tapenade.
I seem to have some slight cravings for salty sort of stuff. A jar of
capers the size of large p ... read more
Day 13 18 y
the little joys
Day 13! I put my 13th happy face on my calender and felt really good
about my progress. Not only just making it through the days, but that
all my previous cleansing has made this Master Cleanse exceptionally
easy detox wise. Cleansing does seem to be accumulative and the benefits
build on each cleanse and so, for me, this progress means I am really
making headway to get myself back to the ”pink of health”.
I spent my day enjoying doing all the little things I often do not
make the time to do. Dusting the ceiling fans, wiping down cupboard
faces. There were lots of gorgeous cl ... read more
Liver Flush 18 y
Survey Reminder
Good Morning,
Last night, I took the time to fill out Dusan’s Liver Flush Survey. Yes,
it is a little long, 93 questions, but it went fast and was very interesting
to me since I never realized the scope of the personal experience which people
have doing the flush, nor all the ways people prepare etc. I can recommend
filling out the survey just to see the questions!!
I have done liver flushing for over ten years now, I average 2-4 a year although with the Master Cleanse, it is recommended that you flush before and after
your cleanse and so I have been doing it more frequently.

Laxative Tea 18 y
getting your move on
The use of laxative teas during the Master Cleanse is optional, but it is
also OPTIMAL as well.
Laxative teas help move the old fecal debris and toxins the Master Cleanse
lemonade loosens up. The tea is generally drunk just before
bed although some also opt to use it in the morning instead of doing
the Salt Water Flush. Depending on steeping times, it can produce some
cramping but through experimentation, one can easily adjust the strength
so that cramping can be avoided.
Below you will find a selection of the assortment of laxative teas available
in the United States. I am no ... read more
Day 12 18 y
up and away!
Day 12 was another UP day for me. I knocked down all my cleansing to-do list and enjoyed one of the best days so far on the cleanse. I did quite a bit of deep gut self-massage, with my skin-brush first, and later, out in the sun, warming my body.
This helps move gunk and after more than a few colonics, I know that going deep is good for you and cannot hurt.
My neighbors came back from their trip and so I immediately jettisoned the food from my last company and was happy to see it go since the asparagus was whining to me...eat me!!! Nice to have the fridge mostly empty again. My la ... read more
The Benefits of Squatting 18 y
better out than in
As anyone can attest, the Master Cleanse makes you more intimate with your bathroom. I even moved a little table in mine so I could put some catalogs in there to flip through in the time spent letting out the Salt Water Flush and all the inbetween releases that the cleanse facilitates. Often, in the morning, I just linger since the urges to go with the Salt Water Flush hardly give you much time between the wipe and flush. So, I opt to relax and wait it out...ggg.
I came across this article in my research that reminded me of something I take for granted but which does not come up much an ... read more
Day 11 18 y
gone with the wind
Day 11 went smoothly for me. It was a chance to renew my committment for the next ten days. I miss the gung-ho feeling of my first long cleanse but also realize that that time was spent creating the foundation for this one. I am much more relaxed and of course the focus of this cleanse is on rebuilding moreso than cleansing. I am using the lemonade as a ”cayenne delivery system”. Have been adding a little more cayenne each time I make a drink, and pushing the envelope so-to-speak, pepper wise. I am so grateful it is hot enough to really enjoy the lemonade. I am no longer really craving foo ... read more
Encouragement 18 y
the power of a smile or hug
Committing to doing a Master Cleanse, which involves fasting, is difficult
enough but can be made be more difficult if one has to relate to friends
and family who are less than supportive and encouraging. Many choose not
to share their plans but some, out of necessity, have to disclose decisions
which are not always popular with others.
It is important when you find yourself dealing with a lack of encouragement
and support to reach out to others when you feel the need to have someone
reassure you that you have made a good choice, that you can keep the
committment you have made wi ... read more
