Day 12
up and away!
Date: 6/13/2006 10:29:47 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3228 times Day 12 was another UP day for me. I knocked down all my cleansing to-do list and enjoyed one of the best days so far on the cleanse. I did quite a bit of deep gut self-massage, with my skin-brush first, and later, out in the sun, warming my body.
This helps move gunk and after more than a few colonics, I know that going deep is good for you and cannot hurt.
My neighbors came back from their trip and so I immediately jettisoned the food from my last company and was happy to see it go since the asparagus was whining to me...eat me!!! Nice to have the fridge mostly empty again. My last cleanse this was not even an issue but this one, I am still sitting on the fence as to how long I will go, so its best for me to have no temptation.
I put music on in the morning and trance danced like a whirling dervish...ggg...feeling the joy of lightness and escape from the burden of time-consuming focus on food. I like these vacations. Few choices, doing something good for my body, and having more time to reflect on why I am doing what I am doing.
Evening came quickly and as the sun went down, I began to feel chilled. I was hoping that my efforts of the day, especially keeping up the routine using the chi machine, had shaken loose another layer of *stuff*. I am glad I know more comfortable and less worried by symptoms of detox this time. I ran a hot bath while my tea brewed and after a good soak and wash, I buried myself under blankets and was asleep before I could count a single sheep!
I did wake this morning, morning 13, to see that detox had popped out on my face making me look less than glowing. It looks like it will be a day of swilling lots of water along with my lemonade. This too shall pass....ggg.
I hope all my fellow fasters have a great day today!!
Thought for the Day
We all get discouraged at times. Just remember that growth is more like a spiral than a straight line. Discouragement is inevitable--and so is rejoicing.
