I also have the same problem with incredibly dry tight lips with what feels like a thick tight sheet over the top of lips . They are also slightly inflamed when I wake up in the morning. It started during the cold weather and has not gone away . Ive tried Burts Bees , Vaseline , Nivea lip balm with factor 15 . They just help me get through the day but never gets any better . You can find hundreds (if not thousands) of posts of people that have eliminated allergies completely via liver flushing and decongesting their livers. My solution for this problem ( to reduce redness, intense itching, dries blisters and reduces pain)is to wash ( soak up to two minutes) your hands with salty water ( iodised best) or seawater( if able ) then follow up with cortisone based cream. Much of what WS says about food intolerances is true. Some users of the drug Accutane (there have been lawsuits concerning this) have developed intestinal damage which causes food allergies and intolerances. Well i did answer your question because i already tried a lot of the stuff that you recommended. I did a gluten free diet, i dont eat sugar in general and I did a 3 days water fast back in the days without any changes. I also changed my toothpaste etc. Thats why i said i dont think its an allergy cause i guess while i was taking Accutane I peeled of the dead skin and caused a trauma. Now my body doesnt know how to rebuild healthy skin on my lips. Yes a good possibility. I am im a home built in 1948. They owners got a notice to have child tested for lead. That is the least of the problems. Mold, bad pipes all are a bacteria (parasites).
