I think most do not understand....those men who are circumsized are being referenced as having ED? Those who are uncircumsized are referenced as having no problems? I think not. The issue with ED has nothing to do with circumcision or not. Adult circumcision can cause loss of sensation just as with any other type of surgery. I am British and my boyfriend is Australian and in the culture I live in, the circumcision of boys is not the norm and one must request it and have medical grounds. If Jewish, I believe there is someone within the community who caringly and humanely provides this service - if such a service may be described this way. My own beloved man was circumcised for medical reasons at an early age, and has had a very unsatisfactory sex life as a result which hopefully is changing. I thank you on behalf of your son. When our boy was 12, he asked why he was ’different’ than other boys, so we told him, and offered the surgery now, if he wanted it. Immediately, he said, ”No, thanks.” I don’t know how we’d have handled it, if he had said yes. At the very least, we knew how much the question bothered him - not very much at that point.
