By limiting love on this earth to only only one kind (male-female-erotic love), you are missing endless opportunities to have a joyful life. The NDE postings indicate that sexual love,even though at its best can be a profound experience, it will not survive the Journey we will be taking. And erotic sexual love cannot endure indefinitely even in our lifetimes(look at the v1agra ads and aging males trying to be 20 year olds) and couples have to learn other forms of expression of love. If you cannot have the love you want, then try in little ways to love others in non erotic ways. Kindness to the worn out people we meet in daily life, little acts that ease the tensions of cranky people at work. Bit by bit, more people will crowd into your life to be loved. One day your life will be so full of people you will yearn for moments of loneliness.

At least that is what I discovered after a long time of feeling sorry for myself over a lost love. All forms of love, especially the kinds that are a bit of a nuisance, I think are why we are here; and I know spending yourself in kindness to others will bring meaning to you. Love will sneak into your life like a thief in the night when you are exhausted from giving it out. Tweet
