Re: Intestinal mucus vs. mucoid plaque

Not every one has a build up of hardened plaque in their colon, but for those of us who did have that problem, getting rid of the build up makes a world of difference.

I am one of those conservative people who no longer believes in excessive cleansing, fasting or supplementation. However, after discovering some parasite larva in some stones from a Liver Flush I did a parasite cleanse (guided by my Naturopath). In an attempt to speed things along I did a Master Cleanse fast with added psyllium after several days. The fasting proved to be too much while doing the parasite cleanse, so I stopped after nine days. I continued with a healthy, mostly raw diet and added psyllium fiber. About ten days later I passed a little over three feet a mucoid plaque. This matter was hard, rubbery and hollow. On the outside were dozens of red and white worms. There was a thin film of clear mucus on the outside of the tube, but no great amount of mucus. The next day I passed more plaque followed by a large amount of what was clearly psyllium. The difference was huge. The first part was dark, hard, and hollow. The psyllium mass was soft, lighter in color and solid. The amazing thing was how rapidly my health improved. I lost weight, my blood pressure went down and best of all I was soon able to return to work after being so weak and in pain for 18 months after a spinal injury.

I believe very strongly in colon cleansing, but with caution. I do not believe it is wise to constantly use any colon cleaner to the point where it might potentially abrade the colon with too much fiber, or create dependency on stimulant herbs. For those who do have a lot of build up on their bowel wall, the healthy mucus cannot be released to where it effectively lubricates and coats the colon. However, I agree that care must be taken not to "over clean" the colon to the point where the mucus is not produced and the bowel become vulnerable to bacteria and toxins.

On a different note, I am a very satisfied customer of your Lugol's Solution. I ordered two more bottles days before your discount was offered here. Your service is very fast and I feel I can trust the purity of the product. I take Lugol's in smaller doses than most here, although higher than Jarvis recommends.
