Re: Weston A. Price on Alkaline/Acid Balance
i agree with both of you. now, combine the two and that is what i see - the bulk of the typical diet being abundant in some of the things we need(calcium and potassium, for example) and bereft of other minerals such as magnesium or traces of strontium or completely missing, like iodine. add to that the poisons that have been introduced into us by modern life, and that IS the problem with health today.
the body senses the need for what is missing and seeks this in MORE food. this is the final ingredient in disease - more and more food that the body is being forced to process yet does not contain what is needed to process it. wrong combination eating. what i call cardboard eating. and the body has no choice but to put processes on hold and store toxins instead of metabolise and/or eliminate them. these "morbid matters", these "acid accumulations" create a constant environment of low pH and oxygen deprivation. parasites, viruses, bacteria, fungus - all find an easy niche in such a body.
americans not only eat bad and eat tons too much, they are being poisoned on top of it. thats the simple view. its one thing to say eat right and exercise. it is quite another to know what that actually means in this low fat, low salt, never let them see you sweat culture.
