Well, think about it for a moment.

Sugars break down into acids before eventually becoming carbon dioxide and water (which, together, can be acidic).

Proteins are made up of amino acids.

Fats are made up of fatty acids.

There aren't any amino alkalis. There aren't any fatty alkalis.

There are far more acids in our lives than there will ever be bases. We simply don't work that way.
