This is great! I know what you mean about the "liver stuff", I have never been a big fan, so that is down on my list of "things to try")! But I do know that I need some meat products. I don't do well otherwise, as you mentioned. Yes I like the raw also, but I also like an amount of cooked, so....? What is so wrong about the combination, I think it has points, although you can get conflicting advice by the different web sites. Oh, well, we are a test kichen? If you try the liver, look at pg 308-9 in Balsamic vinega sauce, the onions and liver never worked for me! I have a hard time getting past the smell, just me probably, or the liver quality at that time. Let me know how it turns out.
