haha! now you know why i dont add the vinegar! i know from experience that cooking vinegar has powerful scent, i don't know why but i just don't like hot vinegar, only cold like in salsa. the smell will decrease as you go along tho. how much vinegar did you put in it?

i will admit that adding it is a good idea as it chemically intereacts to dissolve the bone. but i would think other acids would work jsut as well like lemon juice.

i have been looking into cream of tartar also, which is a potassium based acid salt. i posted something about it on the alk/acid debate forum recenlty. i may try adding that to the broth next time.

in fact, i bet tomato paste would also work as it is fairly acidic. tomato paste plus lemon juice, that sounds good!
