Re: What a delight to behold!

You wrote that

"...yet all he received from moreless were unfounded claims that he did not want to heal himself..." This may have been a true statement and not entirely unfounded at all. Did you know the young man or have his complete history?

I have known people to get so wrapped up in "being sick", blaming someone/something else for it AND/OR enjoying the sympathy, compassion, caring, etc. and the ability to have a legitimate attention getting complaint that they NEVER move out of the state of illness and begin to spiral downward in mental and spiritual health as well.

Heck at work I think there is a competition to see who can moan and groan the loudest about their aches and pains, diabetes, Blood Pressure, anxiety, depression, etc. etc. A day does not go by where someone does not send out an email "I am going to the Doctor", "I have a headache and am going home" Yadda, Yadda, Yadda....

The MIND is the first thing we have to change. It is the least expensive thing to change in terms of money, BUT we must let go of those things that are keeping us in a diseased state and this is (near) impossible for some people. I will need to do this in order to move beyond where I am today and it is not something that can be done overnight or on a whim as it can and does affect your whole life.

Hippocrates once wrote, "The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well." This is the essence of mind/body medicine. Mind/body medicine is an approach to healing that uses the power of thoughts and emotions to positively influence physical health. Most ancient healing practices, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine, emphasize the important links between the mind and the body.

"In Eastern Medicine, envisioning one's well being has always been a large part of the healing process. In Tibetan medicine for example, physicians believe that creating a mental image of the healing god improves one's chances for recovery (2). The ancient Greeks, including Aristotle and Hippocrates, also had their patients use forms of imagery to help them heal."

I think, though difficult to witness and or dish out, tough love; telling it how it is, is not a bad thing. Understanding and accepting truth is the first step towards healing.

The reaction, negative or positive in response to something usually says more about the receiver than the giver...

That said, moreless CAN be "in your face" with his style, and has been with me a time or two... I sit back think about it and take it or leave it. Hopefully if it is truth to me, I will take it and use it to improve my lot, whether I like it or not.
