i am wondering about that myself. i think it is more important to change lifestyle than to do marathon fasts. but regular fasts, one day a week or a three day fast per month combined with eating one meal a day and making sure what you eat is pure poison - yea, i think a person keeps detoxing and prevents retoxing like that. i do believe a person is either in storage or elimination mode. a couple of good fasts(6day and 10 day) have helped me switch my body and made it easier to eat less, eat less often, and know a short fast, if i get sick, will cure me with no harm. this si the opposite of doctors who preach eating to keep up your strength.
i agree too with the sad state of looking to herbs like drugs. the only place that counts is between the ears. everything else follows that. it proves that, with enough determination, a person can screw up anything.
