Hi M.O.G., Good to hear from you. I had same outcome. After 3, 40 day juice fasts I felt really clean but did not lose the weight I expected.
A wise friend clued me in, 'when we skip breakfast our body thinks it's starving so the body wisdom goes into alert and RETAINS FAT'.
When I started having a small breakfast during and after the fasts, the weight came off easier.
Also vitamin C in large doses, natural C with rosehips, also helps in weight loss. A smart natural food md told me we need to 'eat an orange tree' to get adequite vitamin C if we are C depleted in any way. so to add extra C helps lose weight.
By far a small healthy breakfast was the best way for me to lose weight.
All in all the fasting and herbs and spices work great. Just need to tweak a few things for the individual constitution.
