Re: Other symptoms I experienced...
I too, have numbness in both feet and legs. I have had it for about six years. In the beginning it was slight, but I could still tell and it worried me. I went to my doctor and he stuck pins in my legs and feet and because I could feel it deep within, he said it was nothing. I tried other doctors and no one could say what it was.
I had a severe accident 16 years ago, and at 17 fell down a flight of stairs. I never gave that a thought as I healed, or did I. Finally two years ago I went to a Neurologist who ignored what I said and became fixated on Lupus.. I do not have Lupus.. what I do have is Neuropathy. ( Not Diabetes related ) but I am more convinced now that I have pinched nerves someone in my body because when I got for massage therapy, I actually get feeling that last for several days. Most of the time in between my feet feel so strange... I get markings on my left leg that indicates I am not getting proper circulation, but mostly in that one leg. At night I often get my feel tangled in the sheets, I often cannot keep my feet in shoes unless I can tie them. Walking bare foot is so strange - it is the most pecuilar feeling - hard to describe at times. Sometimes I feel like I am wearing artificial legs. Sometime when wearing shorts I feel like I have pants on to the middle of my legs ... there is feeling but it is so distant unless I were to step on something then the pain becomes intense. Dropping something like a pencil hurts like hell, yet last year I dropped a kitchen knife on the floor when in fact it was stuck in my foot and I never felt it. The weakness I have in my legs and feet concern me. I began getting shots of B 12 with success.... then I began taking MSM for all joint pain - and take a supplement called Cataplex B made by Standard Process.. I was amazed at how the feeling came back alot I must say. When I ran out of the supplement - the numbess came back. I went to a chiropractor after a second car accident in April and he too thinks it may be some kind of pinched nerve or disk problem. There are days that I feel like I am going to not be able to walk much longer - the odd sense of this numbness is beyond my comprehension and obviously most doctors.. some just say - we don't know .. ( those are at least honest answers ) others keep you running back and forth to no avail.. anyone have any ideas??? thank you... Janet
