My husband over the last few years has developed exactly the same type of bad odor coming from his mouth. He would brush and mouthwash to no avail. Sometimes he would get mad at me for telling him because he felt to helpless to stop it. I know it was very embarrasing for him. Anyway, we FINALLY got to the bottom of it! It is dairy, especially certain types of cheeses and milk. His daughter is severly lactose intolerant, but she gets severe gas from dairy. His comes up from his stomach and it is like rotten garbage. It does not come from his sinuses or in his mouth ... it definately eminates from his stomach. He stopped drinking milk and walla the smell is FINALLY gone. I hope this helps someone here.
