Re: The Facts..

I did show my shrink because he had a computer in his office and i think he was more overwhelmed than anything, but he suggested the odor was coming from my mouth, and i agree with him, he said brushing and flossing 3 times a day and regularly changing your tooth brush would help. so i do. And it seems to help. But md's dont have the time for what they think is all in our head. Its also tough when family and friends are too scared to tell you the truth when you ask them.

To the guy thinking of quitting his job, and people who are in financial desperation, in constant paranoia and have extreme social anxiety because of this. I was in the same situation man, going to work feeling alienated and flatout embarassed, hearing people say.. "oh he stinks or something stinks", washing dishes people at the restaurant would come back to give me dishes and say stuff like "did you fart" or "something smells funky back here".. awful to here everyday, eventually like you said i started to dread going to work so i quit after a week. and thats how its been with jobs since i was 18/19. My parents dont understand because they dont believe what ive gone through. All in all its a helpless situation.

Anyways ask your therapist/shrink about disability and or welfare.(and we should all have/get one) which you can get on if you have these severe anxieties, and paranoid thoughts.. tell your shrink about them and tell him you cant work because of them. Its temporary untill you can find a job where you dont have to be around alot of people or an outdoor job is great. I for one am looking for a job at a golf course as a grounds keeper, you're out early, only coming in contact with 1 or 2 people but outdoors everyday. There are options and things that can make life do-able for us you just need to be resourceful. Being outdoors is good for people like us because its wide open compared to a tight restaurant job and you wont have worries because its impossible to stink up the universe. No its not a cure but its a solution untill some kind of miracle happens for us. But dont rule out getting tested for tmau or any of the other things i suggested in my 1st post, it could all just be your diet causing this.

other job possibities..

- construction (tried it but it wasnt for me)
- greenhouse/nursery
- Gardener
- mowing lawns and or land scaping
- Flagger
- trucker
- delivery driver (as long as you're alone in the car)

there are plenty of other ones but i dont have time right now..
