ever see that one next generation star trek episode where people keep dissapearing and no one even remembers they existed except the dr.? and it keeps happening over and over again, a crew of 1,000 people dwindling down to a handful. until finally its just her and the captain. and the captian remembers no one at all? and she can't convince him any of the crew ever existed. and this vortex keeps opening up and trying to suck the doctor thru, but she resists. and in the end she finally goes thru the vortex and learns that everyone else already went thru it, and that if she just let go and went thru the vortex she could have avoided all of the drama of the whole thing.
