Re: Raw Diet Confusion (edited)
Greetings grz,
I perhaps should have stated that I have only just begun the so-called “raw” diet, although I have not eaten cooked food in many months. I had been living off of fruits, nuts and seeds prior to my decided change, and now plan to live off raw vegetables in place of the fruits for a few months in hope of re-mineralising my teeth (which show slight deterioration, caused by the fruit diet).
So far I have incorporated two meals per day of green leafy vegetables, with a little olive oil, lemon,
Sea Salt and garlic dressing. A half-hour after my first meal I eat a handful of almonds, and occasionally some sesame seeds. On top of this I am drinking the blackstrap molasses and lemon juice concoction at least three times daily, as well as Dr. John R. Christopher’s calcium formula (again to combat my teeth complaints). At around 10am I drink my super-food along with a touch of kelp, so I do believe that I am covering many bases; my concern is that I may be missing something vital, and although it may seem pedantic I do wish to ensure my diet is complete.
I thought perhaps that I might be missing vital nutrients contained in certain sea vegetables…? This is my only thought as to what I may be lacking in.
And yes, I certainly agree with you on paying no attention to the “recommended daily allowance,” as these figures are based on a false and deluded principle.
