Re: Scat, JV and Xena
Deb I hear what you are saying.
There are 2 things.
Now if candida was your suggestion then it can not be held against you. You are not medically qualified, so they can not possibly hold your own diagnosis against you. Lay people are entitled to believe what they want! Maybe it was something you read in a magazine or a book, but the point is that you can't expect non-medically qualified people to make diagnoses and if they happen to be wrong claim that they are insane!! Otherwise whats the point of having doctors?? If I try to fly a plane and can't take off does that mean I am insane too? Or does it mean I am not a qualified pilot?
If candida was your doctors suggestion, then go along with the quack thing. Why should you as a patient be responsible for the errant hypotheses that your doctor comes up with? All you need to do is find a doctor who specialises in cfs and convince them that you have cfs. Doctors who specialise in
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome are:
a) more likely to be convincing and
b) more likely to diagnose
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome
Even from a medical point of view candida is (somewhat) irrelevant because what is stopping you from working is the debilitating fatigue (of supposedly unknown causal origin). Now you and I believe we know what is causing that fatigue. But play dumb for them! Even if you have to get up on stand and testify as to what is causing your fatigue you can still play dumb, becuase you don't *know* for sure.
Don't fight city-hall. You have more important battles to fight. Play the system.
