Re: Day 8 - stomach acid confusion

There is no confusion. I had it happen to me and through research here is what I learned that I believe makes sense. The stomach wants to maintain a balance at roughly 4.0, which is pretty acidic. If your drinking alkaline water, and here is where I really learned to decrease my bloat, you are challenging your stomach to get back to 4.0 from an intake of 8.0 ph or better. With nothing to digest the stomach produces additional acid every time you drink ph water. Therefore an excess build of acid occurs and hurts, rather than helps the stomach. I found the best way to eliminate this is to drink distilled water as well which is closer to the stomachs PH level and does not trigger acid release. This cured my acidosis. It the opposite of the pop Science on ph water out there, but its true.
