Re: IBS for 8 years - worm found now!?

This is an enzyme imbalance for sure.

Make your doctor run an H. Pylori ELISA it is an easy blood test, and they (docs) understand and accept this etiology when analysing gut problems.

It seems to me, the PH of your gut is off.

Have you had GERD or any burning sensations before or after eating?

Many possibilities exist here. I have had a fluke infection. Confirmed. Got rid of it by Albendazole but clinicians don't like to prescribe it in long term prophylaxis.

Platyhelminthes (flukes) are difficult to find with standard stool exam.

The stool will sometimes have a fishy smell to it if you are symptomatic.

I would be focused on the liver, and gall bladder. This seems to be where the problem is.

The doctor can run tests to detect if there is something out of norm, which can lead to the question of parasites, and further testing in that direction.
