Re: IBS for 8 years - worm found now!?

Trail mix, yes, definitely.

I gave it some thought as to why I bring it up now: Mainly I am hoping to become less fatigued.

The stool was very greasy (i could see it really clearly on the water, along with the floating stool). Perhaps my body is not absorbing the fat because it thinks it doesn't need it? Although 70 kilograms and 190cm is on the low BMI spectrum. Either way, malabsorption is a symptom too. Which seems to increase over the years (the malabsorption that is)

Oh yeah, the Gilbert syndrome was likely diagnosed by some missing enzyme, although I do recall elevated bilirubin while the rest was normal in the blood. From another post on curezone, "elevated bilirubin could mean flukes", which adds up with the rest of the symptoms. My apologies I don't have the blood test to post here.

A final thing to add that I had very strong lower abdominal pains after dinner along with follow-up diarhea which have reduced significantly 4 years ago when I switched to a healthier diet (not meat and potatoes every day, more fruit, less sugar, more vegetables).

I have an appointment planned with a specialist for internal diseases on April 5th. I'll keep you posted, so others can learn too.

If this doesn't work out, I will look into food allergies or a psychological burnout (I took my work very seriously). Somehow it's currently not possible for me to have a 'normal life' right now.
